The news that the Magical Congress of the United States was bringing Ilvermorny students to Europe on an educational exchange briefly became a hot topic at Hogwarts. Once it was confirmed that they really would not be visiting Hogwarts, however, interest quickly cooled, and gradually no one mentioned it anymore.

The students returned to their normal routines of school life and study.

For Harry, the past week or so had been a mixture of good and bad.

The good, of course, was that he had become proficient in the new ways of using the Invisibility Cloak.

When he did not want to use the Invisibility Cloak alone, he could peel the cloak out of "Left Hand." He could take his friends along to roam the school at night. When necessary, he could switch back to lightweight mode, conveniently and quickly.

For Harry, this was definitely a major upgrade.

The bad, however, came from two newcomers to Hogwarts: Gilderoy Lockhart and Colin Creevey.

Harry no longer had much suspicion of Lockhart, because the fellow really did not seem like someone with deep schemes and hidden abilities. He was always trying to drag Harry over and talk endlessly about the exploits that had made him famous-or rather, the plots of his novels-and then have their photograph taken together.

At these moments, Colin Creevey would always, very conveniently-but very inconveniently in Harry's opinion-pop out of a corner before Harry spotted him, then raise his camera, ready to take a picture.

Harry had even suspected for a time that Creevey also owned an Invisibility Cloak.

Well, that was very unlikely. Colin Creevey did not come from a wizarding family, and Invisibility Cloaks were not common even in the wizarding world.

At least, Harry had never heard of anyone having an Invisibility Cloak at home.
