"Wands?" At those words, not only Harry but the others as well looked surprised and puzzled.
"Yes, wands." Dumbledore nodded. "Harry, Ollivander told me that you received the holly wand with a phoenix tail feather core, correct?"
"Yes!" Harry nodded.
"Then do you know that your wand has a brother?" Dumbledore asked.
Harry nodded again. Mr. Ollivander had told him that when he had bought his wand at Ollivander's Wand Shop. His wand had a counterpart containing a feather from the same phoenix, and that wand had left the lightning-shaped scar on his forehead.
Voldemort had given him that scar, so whose hands that wand was now in was obvious.
"Then do you know," Dumbledore said, walking to the door and gently stroking his phoenix, "that the phoenix who supplied the feathers for your wands was Fawkes?"
"What?" Harry gaped at those words, his mouth wide enough to fit his little fist inside.
