When Harry heard why Mrs. Weasley was angry, he did not know whether to laugh or cry.

It had all started because Mr. Weasley's wounds, which were suspected to have been inflicted by Voldemort's Demon Serpent-although Harry and the others were practically certain, they had no definite proof, so "suspected" it remained-had not healed.

Well, it was not that they had not healed at all. They were just healing very slowly.

Treating ordinary external injuries was extremely easy for wizards.

In Harry's second year, Lockhart had removed all the bones in one of his arms with a spell, yet they had still grown back in a single night.

That showed just how effective magic was at healing.

It could be said that as long as someone was not dead and their injuries did not involve the soul, a wizard should recover quite quickly once treated.

Yet more than a full day had passed since Mr. Weasley had received emergency treatment, and his wounds still had not fully healed.

They could be seen closing, but the rate was nowhere near what a wizard should have been capable of.

Then Mr. Weasley and one of his healers-well, a trainee healer, to be precise, Augustus Pye-had come up with a fancy little trick.

They had tried using stitches, a method Muggles used to speed up wound healing, to help Mr. Weasley's wounds heal faster. Mr. Weasley had, of course, been very interested.

Naturally, there was nothing Muggle-related that did not interest him. The two had immediately hit it off and given it a try.

The result was that it had made little difference.

Well, how should one put it?

Mr. Weasley was undoubtedly a fanatical enthusiast of Muggle culture, objects, technology, and all manner of miscellaneous things.

Wizards like him were not common.
