Harry pulled the Demon Serpent over to his side.
The Demon Serpent was bound by his Runes Lock, completely unable to move. This rather surprised Harry.
Harry knew that the Runes Lock could bind magic, Dark Creatures, wizards, and Muggles, and he had tested it himself. But all his previous targets, though restrained, had still been able to move slightly.
This Demon Serpent was different. Her body was visibly rigid, completely unable to move.
And that was not what concerned Harry most.
What caught his attention most was that when his chains bound the Demon Serpent and pulled her to his side, a particular piece of information flooded into his mind.
"Blood Charms?"
A vicious curse that could be passed down through bloodlines. In their early years, those afflicted could switch freely between animal and human bodies. But after reaching a certain age, they would turn into animals permanently, unable to regain human form.
Blood Charms usually caused transformations into cold-blooded animals, most commonly snakes.
And when the Demon Serpent heard Harry say the words "Blood Charms," Harry could clearly sense a violent fluctuation in her emotions.
So this snake was originally a person?
Harry was stunned.
Not just because this Demon Serpent had once been a person, but even more because of where this knowledge had come from.
This knowledge had not come from Ravenclaw's legacy, but from the fragmented knowledge of the Lord of the Deep Space Star Sea. When his chains touched the Demon Serpent's body, this piece of knowledge had automatically been extracted from the utterly chaotic, fragmented knowledge in his mind.
Did these Blood Charms have something to do with the Lord of the Deep Space Star Sea? Harry wondered.
While Harry subdued the Demon Serpent, Dumbledore finally pushed the magic all the way back
