"Old man, I'm leaving!" One afternoon in mid-August, Harry stood outside Nurmengard Castle and shouted up at the main building.

"What are you shouting up there for? I've come down." A teasing voice rang out. Grindelwald appeared at the entrance, dressed incredibly casually. He stayed just inside the doorway, however, without stepping outside at all.

"You actually come downstairs for things other than meals? Now that's a rarity!" Harry looked astonished.

Grindelwald smiled, unbothered. "Come back and visit when you have time, little fellow. I think you're quite suited to learning what I have to teach."

"Heh, I don't think that'll be necessary." Harry shook his head like a rattle, refusal written all over his face.

Grindelwald did not mind either. He waved in greeting to Dumbledore, who stood outside smiling and nodding at him. "Here's your little fellow back, with no parts missing. I'm heading back in."

Without waiting for Dumbledore's reaction, he turned and returned to the main building. He looked ready to go upstairs to his room.

"I'm a little surprised. I didn't expect you two to get along so well," Dumbledore said to Harry with interest as Grindelwald went back inside.

"Well enough." Harry gave a vague answer, but could not keep his eyes from straying toward Dumbledore's right hand-in it, Dumbledore held a wand of rather peculiar design. Harry now knew that it was the Elder Wand, one of the three famed Deathly Hallows.

Whether Dumbledore had not noticed Harry's gaze or simply did not mind, he smiled and nodded. "Well then, let's be off. There's still some time before term begins, but I imagine you wouldn't mind seeing your schoolmates early, would you?"

"Of course!" Harry nodded emphatically.

In fact, it went far beyond not minding. He missed his schoolmates terribly.

Especially Qiu!
