The black chains the blonde witch had unleashed suddenly changed direction and attacked her instead. This was something she had never anticipated.
The four chains pierced her limbs almost instantly, hoisting her into the air.
"Aah!" the blonde witch screamed. The agony of having her limbs pierced nearly made her pass out.
"This spell is rather interesting." Daphne studied the witch suspended in the air with interest. In her previous life, she could not quite claim to have left fields strewn with corpses, but she had certainly been ruthless.
She was hardly a good person in this life, either. Although the scene before her was somewhat brutal, Daphne felt nothing in particular about it.
At that moment, she even had the attention to spare to sense the structure of this black-chain spell.
It differed somewhat from what she had initially thought. The spell's destructive power was even greater than she had expected.
For the moment, she could not quite work out which part of the spell produced that destructive power.
Although she had seized control of her opponent's spell almost instantly, this was rather different from spell-stealing magic such as the Fire-Control Charm. It was not based on her understanding of the spell itself, but on the strength of her own magic.
Daphne's magic was far more powerful than most people imagined.
Everyone else needed to use Magic Spirit Potion in moderation to avoid increasing their magic beyond what they could control.
Daphne did not. In both strength and precision, her mental power far surpassed that of the vast majority of wizards in this world.
In terms of strength alone, of all the wizards she had met so far, she conceded superiority to no one except Dumbledore and Grindelwald. As for precision, she would not concede even to those two.
