The person fighting Voldemort in the sky was not Dumbledore. Harry had never expected that at first.
As he saw it, the message had said Voldemort had appeared in Hogsmeade, so naturally, one of the people fighting in the sky had to be Voldemort.
And the only person capable of fighting Voldemort was Dumbledore. Besides, Dumbledore was very good at playing with fire, wasn't he?
But when he drew closer, he discovered, to his astonishment, that Dumbledore was standing nearby, looking up at the two masses of fire battling in the sky. So someone else was fighting Voldemort up there?
There was actually someone else who could fight Voldemort to this extent?
Dumbledore seemed to notice Harry and the others arriving. Without turning around, he said calmly, "Everyone, stay alert. Be ready to join the fight at any moment."
"Professor, who's that in the sky? The one fighting Voldemort." Clearly, Harry was not the only one curious about this. The moment Sirius discovered Dumbledore standing firmly on the ground, he asked.
"It's Lord Jacques Xilieikesi." It was not Dumbledore who answered, but a woman's voice.
Harry looked toward the voice, his eyes brightening slightly despite himself.
Ah, it was the beautiful landlady of the Three Broomsticks, Madam Rosmerta.
But the lady no longer wore her usual charming expression. Instead, her face was icy.
Harry knew why. When he had come out of the Hog's Head earlier, he had seen swathes of buildings in Hogsmeade either collapsed or burning.
The Three Broomsticks was among them, and it was one of the more severely damaged buildings.
Clearly, Voldemort had already begun wreaking havoc here when Harry and the others received the message. Given the power of Voldemort's magic, even a few minutes before Dumbledore and the others arrived would have been enough
