Nick Fury looked at the calm-faced Wang Yang.
The reason he had chosen to build this base was that he understood that more powerful beings might keep appearing in the future.

There were powerful forces in the universe that compelled him to prepare early.
So even he had paid an enormous price to establish this base in space.
All of this stemmed from his sense of danger concerning space. In the future, some force would inevitably threaten Earth.
For now, however, this base could only serve a monitoring function. It was still incapable of mounting a powerful defense against the formidable beings of the future.
It still needed a long period of construction.
Of course, only Nick Fury himself understood all this, and he naturally would not tell anyone else.
Especially not the terrifying being before him.
"We built this base to defend against extraterrestrial threats! Just in case!"
"And since we established this base, no one has ever barged in as freely as you have. You're quite dangerous yourself!"

After all, if he could not even guarantee the safety of his own territory, how could he guarantee Earth's safety?
"At least I won't pose any threat to Earth. Other alien life forms are another matter!"
