Nick Fury frowned at a document in front of him.
"What is this?"
Nick Fury furrowed his brow.
"Sir, an island suddenly appeared in the Pacific Ocean!"
A S.W.O.R.D. agent reported with a frown.
"Just an island? Isn't that perfectly normal, given the constant movement of Earth's tectonic plates?"
Nick Fury asked, frowning.
Countless volcanic eruptions occurred on Earth every day.
And if a volcano erupted in the ocean, it could very well form an island. In addition, the movement and compression of Earth's tectonic plates could push land above the sea. Such things were perfectly normal.
Yet his subordinates had specifically brought this to his attention, so clearly something was unusual.
"Sir, if it were just an island appearing, we wouldn't be so concerned!"
The agent frowned. "We've heard that several agents sent to investigate have already disappeared there, and several cargo ships also mysteriously vanished after passing through!"
"That area seems to have become a place of death for living things!"
The agent sounded somewhat worried as he spoke.

"Haven't you uncovered any information at all?"
