Tivan then placed the Orb on the apparatus and began explaining it to Star-Lord and the others.
"My new friends, before the universe began, there were six singularities!"
Tivan activated the apparatus, and rings of light appeared above it.
Tivan continued, "Then the Big Bang created all things, and the remnants of these six singularities were collected and condensed into Gems, known as the Infinity Stones!"
The apparatus was slowly opening the Orb, and an intense light shone from within.
"It seems these Gems can only be wielded by those with extraordinary power!"
"Take a look..."
One of the images showed a giant wearing armor and holding a scepter.
"With the Gems, these wielders could destroy entire civilizations!"
As his words fell, the giant struck the ground with his scepter. A terrifying purple light spread in every direction, and the entire planet crumbled.
"For them, it was as easy as harvesting wheat!"
Seeing this, Star-Lord could not help exclaiming in shock, "I'm about to piss myself!"
The Collector, Tivan, ignored Star-Lord and continued, "There was once an organization that successfully controlled this energy together, but even then, they were soon destroyed by its power!"
At that moment, the Orb opened, revealing a Gem within that radiated a dazzling light.
Looking at the Gem before him, Tivan was utterly thrilled and entranced. "So beautiful!"
"Beyond compare!"
Unfortunately, he did not notice that a maid behind him was watching everything.
Hearing the Collector's words, Rocket Raccoon could not help saying theatrically, "I'm absolutely mesmerized, Whitey, but we'd rather get paid!"
"How would you like to be paid?"
Tivan looked at Rocket Raccoon.
Rocket Raccoon said as though it were obvious, "What do you think, playboy? Cash, of course!"
While they were talking, the maid was slowly approaching the Gem, her eyes glazed.
