After returning to the Marvel Universe, Karn checked the time. He had had nothing much to do over there and should have returned long ago, but Weinina, that endlessly inventive noblewoman, had held him up, costing him several extra days.
"I can't ruin the strong man's resolve I cultivated during this time. Isaac, seal up the wine cellar at home. Starting today, I'm giving up drinking for a while."
As soon as Karn finished speaking, the House-elf Isaac appeared and respectfully said, "As you command, my master." He immediately went to seal the enormous wine cellar. Karn's cellar held over thirty thousand bottles, the finest offerings from several worlds. Any single bottle brought outside would have people scrambling for it.
After Isaac left, Karn took stock of his gains from this trip. He had traded for far too many good things in the Devouring universe. His greatest acquisition was the Insect Queen. Unfortunately, he did not yet have the Mind Stone; otherwise, he would have been able to control the Mind Stone.
His other gains were considerable too, especially the Genetic Evolution Serum, which could directly raise the physical abilities of Umbrella's super soldiers by another tier. Previously, it had taken ten men equipped with custom-made weapons to handle Hulk. After receiving the Genetic Evolution Serum, four men carrying melee weapons might be able to take Hulk down.
Karn also planned to have all of Umbrella's soldiers cultivate Warrior Gene Prime and the Force Application Technique. If he taught them on a large enough scale, someone was bound to succeed.
