The Matou Family Villa was quite nice, but the overall atmosphere was rather gloomy. Dense trees, flowers, and grass grew outside, making it difficult for sunlight to reach inside.
There were also some fairly dangerous traps inside the villa, though they posed no threat whatsoever to Karn. Some of them were simply rather disgusting.
Karn toured the entire villa, upstairs and down, burning all the remaining insects to death with Fiendfyre. Apart from a few that flew away before he could chase them, he did not spare even the insects living in the garden.
Even the faintest signs of life could not escape Karn's senses. The Matou Family's insects were truly disgusting, their rotten stench utterly nauseating. He had no idea how they had been cultivated.
After clearing out the insects, Karn gathered all the Matou Family's books on magecraft, intending to study this world's magecraft and magic. Studying magic would be somewhat difficult, however. Of the Five Great Magics, only the Second and Third Magic seemed to have been passed down in this world, and the Second Magic User would be rather difficult to find.
But as long as he could reach the Root, the Five Great Magics would no longer matter. A ready-made path lay before him, so there was no need to seek the Root through magic.
The Holy Grail War was the fastest way to reach the Root.
After gathering the books on magecraft, Karn prepared to study this world's magic. In the Harry Potter World, he could already be considered a god-tier wizard. Observing the world, studying the world, deciphering truth, and controlling everything-these were a Magician's pursuits.
This world's magecraft was quite interesting. To Karn, it seemed more like programming, somewhat more convenient than the Wizarding World's magic, with a higher ceiling as well.
