"Spider-Man!"

When Ben Parker saw Mark appear, both he and May looked delighted.

Thanks to Peter's influence, they were fond of Spider-Man.

But Otto felt differently.

He hated people who barged in unannounced.

It was most ungentlemanly, not to mention rude.

"Bug, get lost."

"Oh, Octopus Knight, I don't want to join your Idle Fish Party. Please tell me where Her Highness the Princess is."

Mark seemed utterly blind to the disgust and loathing on Otto's face.

Just as Otto was about to lose his temper, an explosion suddenly erupted at the other end of campus.

Boom!

Flames soared into the sky. The tremendous commotion startled Otto.

He looked toward the fire.

A streak of green exhaust flashed past and vanished.

Otto snorted. "Another obnoxious pest. A demon that just won't go away."

He took out his phone and made a call.

"Hello, it's me. The Green Goblin has appeared here. Send your people to drive him away immediately. If this disrupts my experiment, you'll have to bear the losses yourselves."

With a single call, he had alerted the armed forces of the major financial groups.

That was far more useful than calling the police.

The energy technology he possessed gave him that confidence.

Suddenly, Ben Parker pointed at the green exhaust in the sky and cried out.

"Oh no, the demon is flying this way!"

"Ben, Otto, let's get out of here," May urged anxiously.

As the Green Goblin drew closer, Otto still refused to leave.

He glanced at the equipment in his laboratory, his face conflicted.

"No, I can't leave. This is my territory. I can't abandon my equipment."

The instant he finished speaking, the Green Goblin streaked across the sky and swept overhead.

"Gahahaha! An Artificial Sun? Unlimited energy?"

The Green Goblin locked onto Otto's laboratory from the air.

"Too bad it's nothing but a joke. The great Demon Lord won't allow this technology to come into existence in this world."

He laughed wildly, and the Glider beneath his feet instantly launched a volley of Pumpkin Bombs.

"No!!"

As the bombs fell, Doctor Octavius tried to shield the laboratory from those terrifying weapons with his own body.

He was willing to give his life for his dream.

But the great Demon Hunter would not allow the Demon Dragon to slaughter the palace guards at will.

At that moment, Mark stepped in front of Doctor Octavius.

He was like a ray of light, illuminating Doctor Octavius's despair.

"Spider-Man, you..."

As he looked at Spider-Man standing before him, Doctor Octavius was deeply moved.

Mark turned his head and chuckled. "Don't just stand there, Bruce. Since you're here, let's destroy the demon together."

As his words fell, holy light burst forth.

The great Demon Hunter leaped into the Demon Dragon's breath.

Demon Hunter—Holy Light Fist!

Whoosh!

In an instant, the red-and-blue figure swung and darted between the Pumpkin Bombs, wrapping them in webs and flinging them back as he went.

"Dodge!"

In the Secret Laboratory, Norman spotted Spider-Man's sudden appearance and hurriedly steered the Green Goblin at Empire State University away from the incoming bombs.

He would not let his demon army fall to the same move again.

Boom!!

A barrage of fiery explosions erupted in the air. The Green Goblin shot out of the smoke, seemingly about to escape unscathed.

"What a cunning Demon Dragon."

Seeing this, Mark hurriedly called to Doctor Octavius, "Bruce, use your Super Special Move!"

Doctor Octavius: "????"

Super Special Move?

What was that?

"Bruce, use your Super Special Move!"

When Bruce stood frozen, Mark had no choice but to take out Liana's Holy Light.

Seeing this, Otto finally understood.

"Spider-Man, I understand. Let's defeat this persistent demon together."

With that, he snatched the pistol and fired at the fleeing Green Goblin.

Bang!

The bullet instantly transformed into a Holy Light Dart, chasing the Green Goblin high into the sky.

"Oh, shit! That thing again!"

The Demon-Hunting Dart pursued relentlessly, and cold sweat broke out on Norman's forehead as he controlled the Green Goblin.

He knew his demon army could not evade it.

Even he could not dodge that strange weapon.

He gave up.

He could only watch as holy light pierced the body of the demon he had created.

The screen went black, and Norman sighed helplessly.

"Another one destroyed. Spider-Man, you're strong, but..."

He looked at Professor Connors, who had returned to the laboratory. "But the next demon you face will possess power beyond your imagination!"

He laughed.

His smile was twisted, brazen, and insane.

Even Professor Connors shuddered at the sight of Norman's grin.

Although he suffered similar mental issues after transforming, he was nowhere near as bad as Norman.

Meanwhile, in Otto's Laboratory.

[Mission progress: 2/4] [You eliminated Demon Dragon x1 and obtained Demon Dragon's Wing x1.] [You obtained the skill-Dodge (Level 1).] [Dodge: While active, increases your reaction speed by 10% and reduces the target's chance of hitting you by 10%. Consumes 1 Stamina per second. No cooldown.]

The reward interface appeared, and Mark clenched his fist in excitement.

"Yes! A new skill!"

At the same time, Otto took a deep breath and walked toward Spider-Man.

"Spider-Man, you've earned my respect. You're a true hero. You've protected humanity's future."

By humanity's future, he meant his Artificial Sun and unlimited energy experiment.

Mark waved a hand. "Don't mention it, Octopus Knight. Take good care of my Bruce. I still have to find Her Highness the Princess."

With that, he leaped away, swinging into the distance.

He left a bewildered Doctor Octavius behind.

"How did I become a knight again?"

He looked at Ben Parker and May.

"I was Bruce just a moment ago," Doctor Octavius said.

Ben Parker was equally baffled.

"I don't understand."

"Neither do I," May said. "But he saved us. That's a fact."

If those bombs had suc-

cessfully destroyed the laboratory, not a single person present would have survived.

Last time, Spider-Man had saved Gwen Stacy and Peter.

This time, Spider-Man had saved them.

An inexplicable tremor stirred in May's heart.

This did not seem like a coincidence.

"Motherfucker, what happened?"

Above the teaching building, Mark suddenly faltered and fell out of the air.

He tumbled awkwardly onto the rooftop, the pain in his chest making him break out in a relentless cold sweat.

"Did I get hurt back there?" Mark clutched his chest tightly, sweat soaking his entire body.

He collapsed to the ground, holy light radiating from him.

Within that light, a strange glimmer twisted into sinister writing.

Mark looked down and saw a distorted totem on his chest. He immediately understood everything.

"Damn it, this is the Demon Dragon's dying curse!"

He had let his guard down.

Meanwhile, guided by his ability to sense Spider-Man, Venom brought Gwen Stacy to the rooftop.

They found Mark huddled in a corner.

Seeing Mark half-dead, Gwen Stacy looked deeply worried. She gently helped him sit up against the wall.

She noticed a colorful, spider-shaped totem constantly flickering on Mark's chest.

"What's happening to him?" she asked urgently.

Slosh...

The black liquid writhed, forming a demonic face.

Venom bared a mouthful of sharp fangs. As he stared at the Spider-Totem on Mark's chest, his narrow eyes contracted slightly.

He suddenly exclaimed, "This is the power of a curse."

"A curse?"

Gwen Stacy was startled. "How could this happen?"

Venom looked equally puzzled. "I don't know why Spider-Man would be cursed.

"But I seem to smell a conspiracy in this curse's power."

"Spider-Man's curse is part of a conspiracy?"

Gwen Stacy's face turned deathly pale. "How can we save him? You must know, right?"

Venom shook his head.

"Sorry, I can't save him.

"The curse has been triggered now. Its power isn't fatal, so he should return to normal soon.

"But what happens afterward... only he knows."
