"Can I go now?"

The female demon glanced at the sword burning with golden holy flames in Lynn's hand. She shrank back slightly and quietly swallowed.

That damned angel. Once I get back to Belur, I'll get the other demons together and kill him.

At her words, Lynn raised his head, his clear eyes turning toward her.

He estimated that the health bar above her head still had about 60% remaining. Seeing that, he immediately raised the Flameflow Blade.

"Of course... not."

"You lied to me?" The female demon's face twisted into a hideous, terrifying expression as rage overtook her.

"I never said I'd let you go." Lynn rolled his eyes, as though this were perfectly obvious.

The female demon: "..."

It seems... he really never did say that.

Her face contorted, her muscles bulged, and she lunged at the man before her like a wild beast.

Whoosh!

Lynn casually swung the Flameflow Blade. It tore through the air and struck her left shoulder, slicing off her left arm as easily as cutting through tofu.

The burning golden holy flames surged like a tide, instantly spreading over her entire body with a constant sizzling sound.

"Aaaah!!"

The female demon writhed under the golden holy flames, her face hideously contorted as piercing screams poured from her mouth.

While she howled, Lynn swung the Flameflow Blade again.

The blade whistled through the air, neatly severing her other three limbs. Only her bare torso remained, crashing to the ground as golden holy flames continued burning across it.

Even as she howled, the female demon did not forget to threaten Lynn.

"Damned angel! If you kill me, Belur won't let you get away with it!"

Lynn smiled and nodded. "Great. I was worried he'd run away."

The female demon: "..."

In the pitch-black alley, faint golden flames pulsed like a heartbeat. Holy light flowed like water into every corner, driving away the chill and damp.

Holding the Flameflow Blade, Lynn crouched nearby and stared at the female demon without moving.

"Just you wait! I'll haunt you even after I'm dead!" she snarled through gritted teeth.

"Haunt me?" Lynn's face lit up. "Demons can turn into ghosts after they die?"

Enduring the burning pain all over her body, she snarled, "Scared now?"

Lynn gave her a serious look. Then his black eyes shone, and he said with excitement written all over his face:

"If you really can turn into a ghost after you die, that'd be fantastic!"

The female demon: "Huh?"

Is there something wrong with your head?

And is this guy really an angel? Why doesn't he know demons don't turn into ghosts after they die?

Wait!

She looked up at Lynn and saw that the excited smile on his face was genuine. A chill rose in her heart.

Have I actually run into a complete psycho?

As a player, Lynn did not care whether the female demon lived or died. All he cared about was whether he could gain more stacks.

If she could turn into a ghost after dying, wouldn't he get two stacks of Feast?

Soon, her health dropped to 20%. With a thought, Lynn immediately activated [Feast].

Almost instantly, the phantom of a hideous giant beast appeared over him. It opened its maw, unleashing an overwhelmingly powerful suction.

Before the female demon could even react, she was swallowed whole. Not even her soul remained.

[Feast stacks: 1]

"Looks like my base stats went up... my strength, constitution, and thinking all seem to have improved."

Lynn put away the Flameflow Blade and flexed his fists slightly, feeling his muscles swell.

"Too bad... she didn't turn into a ghost." He curled his lip, his face full of regret.

That proved demons were all deceitful. Not a single word they said could be trusted, especially female demons.

Stepping out of the dark alley, Lynn raised his eyes toward the blue quest window that appeared before him.

[Main quest: Demon City] [Quest description: Eliminate the demons from Hell in Gotham City. Time limit: one week.] [Reward: Based on your rating. The more demons you kill, the higher your rating.] [Note: To demons, Gotham is a cesspit. Coming here is like eating shit.]

"A demon-clearing quest... time to grind!"

The next day.

Wearing the Iron Man Armor and holding the Flameflow Blade, Lynn flew through Gotham's night sky.

He did not know how to find the demons lurking in Gotham City, but Batman certainly did.

At a time like this, he needed to harass... no, ask the Gotham map's ultimate boss for help.

Lynn switched on his communicator and dialed a few numbers at random. A moment later, Batman's voice came through.

"Tony Stark, what do you want this time?"

"Have you noticed anything unusual in Gotham lately?" Lynn asked. "Like... an already chaotic city getting even more chaotic."

Bruce Wayne: "..."

Hasn't Gotham always been like that?

"Speak plain English," he said helplessly.

Over the past few days, he had carefully reviewed all the information on Lynn and reached a conclusion.

This man named Tony Stark suffered from delusions. He believed he was a player, which was why he disregarded both the law and human life.

Moreover, Bruce Wayne suspected that he had awakened some sort of reality-warping ability, explaining his many bizarre pieces of equipment, items, and powers.

"A lot of demons from out of town have shown up in Gotham City lately, along with some missing-person cases. Don't you know about that?" Lynn frowned.

"Of course I know. But how do you know about it?"

Bruce Wayne was puzzled. He had only just been preparing to deal with the issue when Lynn contacted him about it.

Has he noticed that demons are invading the city too?

"I just ran into a female demon. She wanted to suck me dry, but unfortunately for her, I sucked her dry instead," Lynn answered.

Enyaw Ecurb: "???"

Suck you dry?

A demon?

He's seriously sick.

"You must have already found some places with demons. Tell me where they are," Lynn said again.

"Why should I help you?"

Bruce Wayne's lips curled upward in a smug smile.

"You dug up my parents' graves and kidnapped me. I still haven't settled the score with you over Alfred's lowered IQ or the lies you spread about my sexual orientation!"

Lynn raised an eyebrow as he hovered in midair, then said:

"If you don't tell me, I'll resurrect your parents and show them those photos of you selling your ass. While I'm at it, I'll tell them about the recent rumors linking you to men."

Bruce Wayne: "..."

"Bruce Wayne, you wouldn't want them finding out you sold your ass, would you?" Lynn asked with a smile.

"The Black Helicopter Bar, Manor No. 1247 on Enshitelong Street..." Bruce Wayne said through gritted teeth.

The Black Helicopter Bar.

Inside the dim hall, dazzling neon lights flashed wildly, illuminating figures swaying frantically to the music on the dance floor.

At first glance, they looked a little like the Dancing Zombie from Plants vs. Zombies.

Lynn walked slowly inside. Before he could even begin investigating, a piercing scream rang out from the center of the dance floor.

He raised an eyebrow. "Looks like I won't have to find them one by one."
