The book goes premium tomorrow, March 1. Since VIP access needs to be activated, there may be a delay of ten minutes or so. Please keep that in mind.
All right, next comes everyone's favorite part: a flop of an author playing the pity card.
There really isn't much to play up, though. After all, I chose this path myself, and whatever happens, I have to grit my teeth and keep walking it.
Let's start with some good news. Old Faceless has let you all down, broken away from the masses, and said goodbye to the single life.
And with some masterful sucking up, I won over my future in-laws and set a wedding date.
This June, your forever-eighteen Old Faceless will be getting married and joining the ranks of married people.
So if anyone asks Old Faceless again what I do all day besides writing, and why I always say I'm busy...
This is the answer.
Old Faceless is starting a family, so I emptied both my parents' savings and my own to buy a place in the suburbs. The renovations were just finished before the Lunar New Year.
Then there's still a big wedding bill to pay. There's no way around it: I can only borrow some money for now and try to pay it back as soon as possible.
When it comes to borrowing money, Old Faceless has always borrowed only from relatives, never asked friends, and paid it back the moment I had the money. I've never failed to repay a debt. On the other hand, I've hardly ever gotten back any money I've lent out. Sigh.
Mortgage plus debt-honestly, the pressure is enormous. (No car. Too poor.)
Luckily, though, Old Faceless has a wonderful wife-to-be. One day I asked, "What if my new book flops?"
