He pushed open the hidden door and stepped into the secret chamber. There really was a whole other world in here.
Underground Bounty Station, Underground Bounty Station...
Of course most of them were underground!
But that was not absolute. A small number were exceptions.
Shinji led the others down until they finally reached the inside of the Bounty Station.
It was not lively inside. Quite the opposite-it was very quiet.
For one thing, business might have been slow lately. For another, it might have been the location. After all, this place was rather remote, and generally no one but "regulars" would go out of their way to squeeze in here.
Shinji did not care about any of that. He knocked on the little window and bluntly said he wanted to buy intelligence on the Cursed Spirit attack on the Land of Vegetables.
The person on the other side wasted no words either and named a price.
Shinji nodded and paid. Once the payment was checked, the little window immediately closed.
But less than two minutes later, it opened again, and a scroll was passed out.
Shinji took it and opened it right there to read.
It contained a detailed account of the entire attack on the Land of Vegetables by monsters suspected to be Cursed Spirits, even including the timing and the exact course of events.
It made one wonder whether their intelligence agents had been hiding there when it happened and witnessed the whole thing.
Shinji soon finished reading the intelligence. It differed little from what he had learned before, but it supplied many details and gave him a clear understanding of those Cursed Spirits' numbers and strength.
Then he knocked on the little window again. "This time, I want the route those Cursed Spirits took when they left.
