Honestly, I never expected to make it to Sanjiang at the start.
Before posting the book, I even went out of my way to look up all the Demon Slayer fanfics that had come before mine. Apart from the anime crossover and multiverse ones, there was still plenty of room for improvement.
So I hadn't held out much hope or expected much at first.
I never imagined all you handsome Yanzus and generous patrons would come through so strongly.
We actually shot straight onto Sanjiang!
It felt like an opponent I couldn't defeat even after giving it everything I had had somehow been speedrun by all of you.
I also need to thank my editor again.
Editor Y gave me a helping hand. Without him, I might have simply switched to starting another book.
And there were all the folks in the authors' chat, like Brother Dog, Big Shot Dan, and Hutu, who kept answering my questions.
(Even so, because I didn't know how things worked, I still missed out on the little loudspeaker promotion before going premium. It felt like I'd lost a hundred million.)
I also wanted to talk a little about why I chose Demon Slayer.
At the very beginning, after watching the Luo Little Black movie, I was actually preparing a fanfic about becoming a demon king in Luo Little Black's world.
Later, I also agonized over whether to try Mob Psycho 100, Chainsaw Man, Fullmetal Alchemist, or Dandadan.
Or just write an original light novel.
For various reasons, I wrote an opening for each of them, and only an opening...
