A beggar in ragged clothes stared coldly at the great lake in the distance through a gap between the alleys.
Pati City had clear skies for miles, yet dense clouds hung over East Lake alone.
Not to mention the enormous [En] sweeping brazenly across the entire lake.

The police officer on duty said it was East Lake Prison. Apparently, something important was happening today, so citizens were forbidden from approaching.
But he was not a citizen, so the officer simply let him through.

Suddenly, a young voice came from a dark alley beside the road.
Jialuo turned to look. Through his blurred vision, he saw a little beggar just as filthy as he was, timidly poking their head out to look at him.
"Children shouldn't wander around. Go home."
Jialuo spoke softly.
"This is my home-"
The little beggar muttered under their breath, turning to reveal a cardboard box lined with worn-out clothes in the alley.

Jialuo stared blankly as the little beggar brought the cape over. That familiar eye color left him dazed for a moment. "Mister, at least wear a raincoat."
Without giving him a chance to refuse, the little beggar stuffed the raincoat into his hands, then scampered away.
"You... where are you from?"
Jialuo could not help calling out. A voice came from the alley. "Don't know. Somewhere up north, anyway-"
