Like his officers, Norton had been keeping busy lately.
Every morning, he woke up on the soft cloud bed he had brought back from Sky Island, lingered in bed for another ten minutes, and listened to Steel Hand berating someone out on deck, followed by someone getting thrown into a pile of ropes.
Since their rooms were not far from Norton's quarters, Nami and Funing would usually come over to spend some time with him around then.
After all, the cloud bed was simply too comfortable. Once they had lain on it, they could never give up that feeling.
If it had not been inconvenient, Funing and Nami would both have wanted to sleep with Norton.
After lingering in bed, breakfast naturally came next. Heading from the White Pearl to the Restaurant on the Sea, he could see Sanji rushed off his feet in the kitchen.
It was worth mentioning that although Sanji was also on Steel Hand's training list and got beaten black and blue every day, he still insisted on spending a full eight hours in the kitchen daily.
"King, what would you like today?"
"Seafood fried rice. Extra squid."
Three minutes later, Sanji placed a heaping plate of squid and seafood fried rice in front of Norton. After taking his time finishing it, Norton wiped his mouth, stood up, and left.
After breakfast came his usual fishing session.
He brought over a folding chair, sat at the stern, propped his fishing rod against the rail, and leaned back with his eyes closed to bask in the sun.
The fishing rod, however, did not budge.
Twenty minutes, forty minutes, an hour.
"Why haven't we had a single bite yet?" Nami, who was fishing with Norton, had already run out of patience.
"Don't rush. Give it a little longer."
