As he neared the experimental subject's location, Gallantmon X announced his return with a skill that all but filled the entire battlefield.
In an instant, the army of DORUmon copies that practically blotted out the sky was swept away.
Then Gallantmon X appeared above the deep pit where the experimental subject was.
At the bottom of the pit were not only the destined DORUmon, but also the many Digimon he had befriended.
After a casual glance at the experimental subject and his companions, Gallantmon X had some idea of what to do.
Meanwhile, under Gallantmon X's clearing attack, the copies' offensive had dwindled to a trickle, as though giving the Digimon down in the pit time to react.
At that moment, Gallantmon X spoke.

With that, Gallantmon X descended toward the bottom of the pit under the many Digimon's gazes.
As he descended, Gallantmon X went over his upcoming mission again in his mind.
Then Gallantmon X glanced at WarGreymon X and MetalGarurumon X, who were fighting, and said, "WarGreymon X, MetalGarurumon X, lead everyone in retreat!
"Leave this place to DORUmon and me."
Hearing Gallantmon X's words, WarGreymon X and MetalGarurumon X exchanged a glance during a lull in the fighting, then acknowledged his instructions.
Then MetalGarurumon X shouted to the many Digimon at the bottom of the pit, "Those who can fly, take those who can't! Fly straight over the rock wall and charge into the forest!"
After receiving MetalGarurumon X's orders, the Digimon began an orderly retreat.
