Ch. 61Every gain comes with a loss

Mo Yan chose Darkdramon's core data for his machinery-and-technology DigiCore, favoring its biological traits and compatibility with his future plans. He agreed to protect Datamon's new factory in exchange for parts, then began studying the knowledge needed to build and modify his Darkdramon form.

  • Mo Yan rejected using Machinedramon's core data because its authorization would leave his mechanical form subject to Machinedramon, and he chose Darkdramon over HiAndromon.
  • Mo Yan confirmed his choice, and Datamon transmitted Darkdramon's core data into his machinery-and-technology DigiCore.
  • Datamon offered Mo Yan access to factory parts in exchange for protecting the factory until it produced its first batch of guards, and Mo Yan accepted.
  • Mo Yan placed his DigiCore in the factory's main control room, where it served as the parts-production template and data processing center as the factory began operating.
  • Mo Yan started studying machinery, programming, alloys, and the conflicts between mechanical systems and biological instincts so he could build and modify his Darkdramon form himself.

Ch. 62The story of Alice and Wormmon (part one)

Rob McCoy studied Alice’s D-Ark as Alice and Wormmon joked with him, and he realized how much Wormmon had helped his granddaughter become cheerful again. When Wormmon sensed another Digimon nearby and asked to evolve, Alice agreed, and she and Rob set out to face the encounter.

  • Rob McCoy connected the D-Ark to his equipment to study its functions, explaining that he wanted to help Alice and Wormmon get along better.
  • Alice teased Rob about why he had brought her to the Island Nation, and the three laughed together as Rob reflected on Alice’s new happiness.
  • Wormmon sensed another Digimon nearby, and Alice recognized his battle-ready expression from Gazimon’s encounter with a foe.
  • Wormmon told Alice he wanted to evolve, and she agreed despite worrying that he might get hurt.
  • Rob handed Alice the D-Ark and insisted on accompanying her, then took a card case and resolved to go with them.

Ch. 63The story of Alice and Wormmon (II)

Alice and Wormmon confronted Dokunemon as it ate the Digital Battle Arena’s wall, and Alice learned how to support Wormmon with her D-Ark. After Wormmon’s attacks failed, Alice used Rob McCoy’s card to freeze Dokunemon, which broke apart into data.

  • Alice scanned Dokunemon and learned that it was a poisonous Rookie Digimon that was eating the arena wall.
  • Wormmon attacked Dokunemon with Silk Thread, but Dokunemon deflected the threads and countered with Worm Venom.
  • Wormmon’s Sticky Net failed to stop Dokunemon’s venom, and Alice called out in concern.
  • Rob McCoy gave Alice a Digimon card and explained how she could help Wormmon with the D-Ark.
  • Alice used Card Slash: Yukidarumon and directed Wormmon to freeze Dokunemon, which shattered into data.

Ch. 64The story of Alice and Wormmon (III)

Wormmon defeated Dokunemon, then Alice and Rob McCoy left the alley together after the Digital Battle Arena and its fog vanished. In the days that followed, Wormmon battled increasingly strong Digimon until Alice’s heartfelt words triggered his evolution into Flymon, who carried her into the sky to escape Kuwagamon.

  • Wormmon absorbed Dokunemon’s data, and the Digital Battle Arena and surrounding mist disappeared as Alice prepared to go home with him.
  • Rob McCoy was distraught that the fog vanished before he could study it, but Wormmon’s words helped him regain perspective and accept that he could refine his conclusions later.
  • Alice, Wormmon, and Rob McCoy left the alley together, and in the following days Alice and Wormmon fought a series of insect- and plant-type Digimon while Rob McCoy researched and supplied experimental Digimon Cards.
  • Wormmon reached a bottleneck and was nearly killed fighting Kuwagamon, while Alice’s card support could no longer help him and Rob McCoy could do nothing.
  • Alice thanked Wormmon, and her spiritual strength stirred Calumon’s power and activated Mo Yan’s response mechanism, surrounding Wormmon with the light of evolution.
  • Wormmon evolved into Flymon, who scooped up Alice and flew into the sky to evade Kuwagamon’s Scissor Arms.

Ch. 65Beginning to Regroup

Flymon defeated Kuwagamon, who disintegrated without explaining why he had welcomed the attack, while Alice suspected the King of Insects might be involved. Calumon then appeared and revealed that Takato, Guilmon, and others were nearby, just as the sky split open.

  • Flymon exploited Kuwagamon’s size and slow movements, then struck him with Deadly Sting; Kuwagamon accepted the attack and disintegrated into data.
  • Flymon wondered who was arranging the repeated encounters, while Alice considered whether the King of Insects had targeted Wormmon.
  • Rob McCoy focused on studying the Digital World and Digimon, confident in his work converting code into power for Digimon.
  • Calumon arrived, met Flymon and Alice, and said Takato, Guilmon, and the others were nearby.
  • The sky split open.

Ch. 66Takato Matsuki, whose power came entirely from shouting

Alice, Calumon, Flymon, and Dr. Rob McCoy crossed into the Human World battlefield where Takato Matsuki and his friends faced a rampaging Vajramon. As Flymon drew the Digimon’s attention, Takato ran to the trapped Great Growlmon and began shouting.

  • Calumon sensed that Takato Matsuki was in danger and led Alice, Flymon, and Dr. Rob McCoy to him.
  • Alice recognized the gigantic enemy as Vajramon but noticed it differed from the gentle Vajramon she had met before.
  • Attack helicopters fired on Vajramon, which retaliated with its red Jewel Wheel and then charged at them.
  • Alice sent Flymon to distract Vajramon, and Flymon evaded its attack after drawing its attention.
  • Takato Matsuki ran to Great Growlmon, who was pinned beneath a red jewel, and shouted as he prepared to unleash more power.

Ch. 67Makuramon's questions

Takato Matsuki’s encouragement helped Great Growlmon break free and rejoin the battle, while Mo Yan gave Alice a card that evolved Flymon into Jewelbeemon. Away from the fight, Mo Yan confronted Makuramon about provoking Vajramon, and Makuramon admitted it and challenged the humans’ right to interfere with Digimon evolution.

  • Takato Matsuki shouted his feelings to Great Growlmon, who destroyed Vajramon’s red orb and advanced toward him as Shamanmon and Rapidmon attacked again.
  • Mo Yan gave Alice a blue Digimon Card, and she used it to evolve Flymon into Jewelbeemon.
  • Jewelbeemon countered Vajramon’s red orbs with Spiking Strike, drawing the attention of Takato Matsuki, Rika Makino, and Li Jianliang.
  • Mo Yan left Alice and the battlefield to confront Makuramon, who admitted he had made Vajramon go berserk.
  • Makuramon questioned Mo Yan about humans interfering with Digimon evolution and treating Digimon as their servants.

Ch. 68Everyone had their own game, and Digimon were no exception

Mo Yan warned Makuramon against defying the Four Holy Beasts, but Makuramon set out to punish the children and target the evolution light. Meanwhile, the children and their Digimon coordinated an attack that toppled Vajramon and hit him with four powerful techniques, leaving his fate obscured by dust.

  • Mo Yan warned Makuramon that opposing the Four Holy Beasts’ plans without sufficient strength would bring destruction, but Makuramon rejected his advice.
  • Mo Yan sensed that Zhuqiaomon had noticed Vajramon’s rampage and warned Makuramon not to attack the evolution light; Makuramon went ahead, and Mo Yan left to seek a share of Vajramon’s mythological data for Jewelbeemon.
  • Takato Matsuki and the others coordinated their Digimon’s attacks as Great Growlmon charged Vajramon, with Rapidmon and Shamanmon helping Jewelbeemon distract and maneuver him.
  • Great Growlmon toppled Vajramon, and Great Growlmon, Shamanmon, Rapidmon, and Jewelbeemon struck him with their attacks.
  • Shamanmon swept away the dust from the explosion, revealing that Vajramon’s condition remained unknown.

Ch. 69The figure in the rift

After the children defeated Vajramon, Makuramon snatched Calumon and headed for the rift, where Zhuqiaomon appeared and Leomon was struck down. Juri Katou received a D-Ark, while Mo Yan secretly added a program to it before returning to the Digital Arms Factory.

  • Vajramon’s data scattered into the DigiCores of Great Growlmon, Rapidmon, Shamanmon, and Jewelbeemon, and he returned to his true body to sleep.
  • Makuramon seized Calumon and declared that he would take her back to help the Digimon attain higher evolution.
  • Takato Matsuki tried to rescue Calumon, but Makuramon evaded him and flew toward the rift as Leomon attempted to intercept him.
  • Zhuqiaomon’s figure appeared within the rift, and needles struck Leomon, leaving him motionless on the ground.
  • Juri Katou’s concern for Leomon triggered the appearance of a new D-Ark before her.
  • Mo Yan secretly sent a program into Juri Katou’s D-Ark, then left to return to the Digital Arms Factory in Lighthouse Country.

Ch. 70Let's go to the Digital World

After Makuramon took Calumon to the Digital World, Takato Matsuki resolved to rescue him, and Alice McCoy decided to join the journey. Alice left the next steps with her grandfather’s blessing and Wormmon’s promise to protect her.

  • Makuramon taunted the children as he disappeared into the Digital World, while Zhuqiaomon watched Takato Matsuki’s growing malice with approval.
  • Takato Matsuki urged Rika Makino and Li Jianliang to go to the Digital World and rescue Calumon.
  • Alice McCoy introduced herself to Takato Matsuki, Rika Makino, and Li Jianliang, then asked whether they were going to the Digital World.
  • The children and their Digimon fled the approaching authorities, while Jewelbeemon carried Alice and Rob McCoy home.
  • At McCoy's Cottage, Alice told Rob McCoy she was determined to return to the Digital World, and he asked Wormmon to protect her.

Ch. 71The Iron Empire's Arms Factory

Mo Yan oversaw the Iron Empire’s newly built arms factory at a military base in Lighthouse Country while the DigiDestined prepared to enter the Digital World. He inspected a newly completed Hypergravity Chamber and asked when Andromon’s modifications would be finished.

  • Mo Yan ordered Gearsmon to monitor the DigiDestined and report when they were ready to leave.
  • Mo Yan examined the factory’s production facilities and learned how its workshops and logistical support helped make the Iron Empire powerful.
  • A Gearsmon reported that the Hypergravity Chamber had been completed, and Mo Yan asked about the progress of Andromon’s modifications.
  • Gearsmon led Mo Yan to the chamber, explained its materials and gravity controls, and warned him against using highly destructive powers.
  • Gearsmon transferred control of the Hypergravity Chamber to Mo Yan, and the system confirmed him as its acting commander.

Ch. 72Please maintain a sense of reverence

Mo Yan received access to the Iron Empire’s Hypergravity Chamber and learned that the Empire would provide Darkdramon’s core data and mechanical parts, but he had to supply its biological components himself. After accepting the Empire’s warning and bowing in respect, he prepared to train while Gearsmon arranged the core assembly.

  • Gearsmon transferred permission for Mo Yan to use the Hypergravity Chamber and explained that Darkdramon’s core components were manufactured, but its assembly and remaining parts were unfinished.
  • Gearsmon relayed the Central Computer’s offer to assemble Darkdramon’s core apparatus first and send Mo Yan its remaining mechanical components through a digital transmission device.
  • Mo Yan questioned whether he had to provide Darkdramon’s biological parts, and the Central Computer explained that the Empire expected him to create them himself.
  • Mo Yan accepted the Iron Empire’s terms, bowed to the Empire and Machinedramon, and said he would train in the Hypergravity Chamber while Darkdramon’s core apparatus was assembled.
  • Gearsmon left the chamber, and nine DigiCores flew out of Mo Yan’s body as he walked toward its center.

Ch. 73Holy Angemon Priest Mode, reporting for duty!

Mo Yan revealed the Digimon forms of his twelve DigiCores and used Dark Angemon and Flame Angemon’s data to create Holy Angemon Priest Mode. The new angel appeared as the fusion succeeded, while Mo Yan’s other DigiCore forms remained unchanged.

  • Mo Yan manifested the Digimon forms of his twelve DigiCores, including three new forms shaped with data SageMon obtained from Caesar’s world-traversing ability.
  • Mo Yan explained that his previous-life self represented his Ego Digicore and helped preserve his will and balance the other DigiCores.
  • Mo Yan replaced the Wizard Digicore with the Ego Digicore, then began merging Dark Angemon’s data into Flame Angemon’s.
  • Flame Angemon’s arms gained opposing rings inscribed with light and darkness as the fusion triggered Digivolution.
  • The light and darkness faded to reveal Holy Angemon Priest Mode, an Ultimate Archangel-type Digimon.

Ch. 74To live or to die, that was the question.

Mo Yan questioned why merging the Twin Angel data had led him to evolve into Holy Angemon: Priest Form, and considered devolving to seek a different Ultimate form. Holy Angemon: Priest Form explained that the Digital World and its authorities had shaped their evolution, and Mo Yan was left weighing his ambitions against the consequences of living.

  • Mo Yan considered forcibly devolving Holy Angemon: Priest Form and evolving again, trusting his Twelve Digicores to repair any damage to his data.
  • Holy Angemon: Priest Form displayed a murky power and explained that the Digital World, its highest-ranking angels, and Lucemon's authority had influenced their evolution.
  • Mo Yan and Holy Angemon: Priest Form discussed how their original form had made them vulnerable to those influences and how Ultimate evolution could eventually free them to create new forms.
  • Holy Angemon: Priest Form urged Mo Yan to stop seeking risky new evolutionary lines, but Mo Yan lamented that doing so would make his trip to the Digital World feel wasted.
  • Holy Angemon: Priest Form told Mo Yan that he had to choose between living with the consequences of his ambitions and dying early to reincarnate.

Ch. 75The Digimon That Watched Over the Darkness Within

Mo Yan transformed his Dark Digicore by inscribing his feelings about death, darkness, and corruption, then linking it to his other DigiCores. The Digicore was born as Cerberumon, a rational watcher of darkness and guardian of the hell within Mo Yan’s heart.

  • Mo Yan concluded that the Dark Area persisted because factions benefited from the disasters caused by its Demon Lord/Deity-type Digimon.
  • Mo Yan inscribed his emotions, dark power, Mythological Data, and a final definition onto the Dark Digicore, then connected it to his other eleven DigiCores.
  • The Dark Digicore absorbed data and power from the other DigiCores, including power from Holy Angemon: Priest Form, while taking in Mo Yan’s negative emotions without losing its rationality.
  • Mo Yan began imagining that he was the chosen one, but the Dark Digicore returned him to his senses before Holy Angemon: Priest Form’s Holy Purification Light reached him.
  • The Dark Digicore transformed and announced the birth of Cerberumon, leaving Mo Yan and Holy Angemon: Priest Form surprised by the form Mo Yan’s darkness had taken.

Ch. 76A chaotic melee

Mo Yan, Holy Angemon: Priest Mode, and Cerberumon started a chaotic battle that drew the other Digimon forms into fighting one another. Knightmon struggled against the airborne Coredramon and called for help, transforming his sword into a longbow.

  • Mo Yan and Holy Angemon: Priest Mode attacked Cerberumon, who transformed into werewolf form and countered their strikes.
  • Stars vanished into concealment, Jijimon clung to Knightmon, and several other Digimon watched or hid as the battle spread.
  • Grand Mage Beast buffed himself and joined the fighting, while Knightmon left Jijimon with Falcomon and challenged Coredramon.
  • Devimon harassed Holy Angemon: Priest Mode until he changed into Holy Angemon, who then crossed swords with Grand Mage Beast.
  • Coredramon took to the sky and attacked Knightmon, who called to Grand Mage Beast for help and turned his sword into a longbow.

Ch. 77A new attempt, Knightmon Legendary Mode

Knightmon fought Coredramon with a bow, sword, and summoned wolf, but was driven back by flame and wind attacks. Mythological Data transformed him into Knightmon Legendary Mode, the latest stage in Mo Yan’s experiments with altering Digimon data.

  • Knightmon used his longbow to force Coredramon to land, then asked Grand Mage Beast to make him a longsword while keeping the bow slung across his back.
  • Knightmon attacked Coredramon with sword waves, summoned a Blue Dire Wolf, and charged while firing arrows.
  • Coredramon blew Knightmon and his mount away with powerful winds, then deflected Knightmon’s thrown sword and launched a flame attack.
  • Knightmon faced the incoming flames as Mythological Data from the Hypergravity Chamber and the Crystal Ball enveloped him and blocked the attack.
  • Knightmon absorbed the data and became Knightmon Legendary Mode, an ornate armored subspecies with greater power and new signature techniques.

Ch. 78Hesitation is forbidden in swordsmanship

Mo Yan gathered his DigiCores into Knightmon · Legendary Mode, balanced their power, and examined Chicchimon’s space-time data and potential evolution. Gearsmon then announced that the children were ready to set out.

  • Knightmon · Legendary Mode evolved, drawing comments from Mo Yan’s other forms before they resumed training.
  • Illusory Stars and the other forms became DigiCores and merged into Knightmon · Legendary Mode, while Chicchimon stayed outside.
  • Mo Yan balanced the power of the DigiCores and considered how to manage them as more completed Ultimate evolutions.
  • Mo Yan examined Chicchimon’s data, discovered his warrior’s heart and potential connection to a legendary space-time Digimon, and considered his future evolution.
  • Gearsmon told Mo Yan that the children were ready to set out.

Ch. 79Heading to the Digital World

Mo Yan secretly attached information-gathering spirits to the children and their Digimon before they entered the Digital World, hoping to study how human bodies transformed there. The rift pulled him in before he could collect data, and after reaching the Network Layer, he created a gate and went through it.

  • Mo Yan created fluorescent spirits from Darkdramon's power and the power of five Ultimates, then sent them to merge with the seven children and five Digimon.
  • Mo Yan watched the group enter the Rift Between the Two Worlds and explained that he wanted to learn how human flesh changed during the journey into the Digital World.
  • Mo Yan approached the rift to extract data, but its powerful suction pulled him inside before he could gather any.
  • Mo Yan reached the Network Layer, used Magic Script to halt his fall, and opened a luminous gate.
  • Mo Yan pushed the gate open and walked through it.

Ch. 80Bodily sensations would only slow down your growth

Mo Yan returned to Broken Royal Magic Academy and learned that Witchmon had evolved into Angewomon and LadyDevimon. SageMon revealed that the academy had arranged a challenge for Mo Yan: he would need to grow strong enough to convert other Digimon into biological life-forms.

  • SageMon welcomed Mo Yan back to Broken Royal Magic Academy, where Angewomon and LadyDevimon greeted him.
  • Mo Yan sent Holy Angemon Priest Mode and Devimon away with Angewomon and LadyDevimon, respectively.
  • Mo Yan questioned SageMon about how Witchmon had evolved so quickly into Angewomon and LadyDevimon.
  • SageMon explained that Mo Yan's Light-Darkness Exchange Data and data from Lucemon had enabled Witchmon's evolutions.
  • SageMon told Mo Yan that converting other Digimon into biological bodies would require him to complete the Mega Evolution of his Twelve Digicores.
