The inn had appeared out of nowhere.
Why say that?
Because there was no one anywhere in the great desert—not to mention people, there was not even a ghost's shadow.
Who would open an inn in a place like this?
Yet this was the first building the three of them had seen in days.
The three descended to the ground and walked up to the inn.
"Tian Huang Hall!"
Though it was merely an inn, it bore such an imposing name.
The name Tian Huang resounded throughout the great desert.
This inn had clearly stood for a very long time.
Some of the wood used to build it had already rotted away, while some had even been hollowed out by insects.
The three looked inside the inn. Several simple tables and chairs had been arranged neatly and spotlessly.
"Is anyone there?" Purple Cloud Sage called out first.
The three walked into the inn. At the same time, the curtain within was lifted.
A hunched old woman, hobbling with unsteady steps, emerged from inside.
"Are you guests staying the night, or are you here to eat?" the old woman asked.
"We're here to eat, and we'd also like to ask for directions," Purple Cloud Sage said with a smile.
"May I ask where this place is?"
"Tian Huang," the old woman replied.
"Tian Huang? How come I've never heard of this place?" Purple Cloud Sage frowned slightly.
He then asked, "May I ask how far Lotus Pond Secluded Path is from here?"
"The Secluded Path lies within Tian Huang.
A lotus from ages past."
The old woman said, "You have already arrived."
"We've arrived?
Old lady, don't joke around. There's nothing here but the great desert," Purple Cloud Sage said with a smile.
"What element does the great desert belong to?"
