He frowned slightly and pushed open the crimson great gate. With a creak, he entered the hall.
The hall was divided into several rooms. Before the room Xu Zimo had just entered stood three statues.
From left to right, the first statue was entirely brown, save for its pure-black facial features.
Its two hands were raised. Its left foot stood on the ground while its right foot was lifted forward, and its clothes were wrapped all over with golden ribbons.
The statue in the middle was a one-eyed lone wolf. The wolf had only one eye, and its fur was fiery red.
It reclined sideways atop a high platform, somewhat resembling Maitreya Buddha's reclining posture, looking both bizarre and strange.
The statue on the right was a monk wearing black beads. The monk wore a cassock, and the black beads adorning him were black from head to toe.
Even his eyebrows, eyes, and lips seemed to have been made up, appearing utterly black.
