Hearing Ji Ruobing's words, Xu Zimo's expression changed, as though he had thought of something.
"We've been tricked," he said, looking at Ji Ruobing.
Seeing that Ji Ruobing still wore a puzzled expression, Xu Zimo knew this was not the place to explain.
"Kill!" the green monster roared, charging at Xu Zimo alongside the other monsters.
"If you want to worship the Mountain God, then go right ahead. Why get so worked up?" Xu Zimo said as he threw a punch.
"You deserve to die! Is worship something that can be done so casually?" the monster roared.
"Our tribe prepared so many materials for this ritual, and now they've all been ruined. Are you going to compensate us for them?"
Seeing that reason would not work, Xu Zimo could not be bothered to keep entangling himself with them.
He looked at Ji Ruobing and said, "Let's leave this place first."
Ji Ruobing nodded slightly.
With a sweep of the ancient sword in her right hand, heaven-shaking sword intent slashed down between both sides, like a vast chasm that forced the monsters back.
By the time the sword intent dissipated, the two had already vanished without a trace.
"You ruined our tribe's worship ritual! Just wait for our tribe's pursuit!" the monsters roared unwillingly from behind them.
They walked along the still fairly bustling streets.
When Xu Zimo returned to the spot where the chaos stall had been, the vendor was long gone. The empty district looked as though it had never existed.
"What exactly is going on?" Ji Ruobing looked at Xu Zimo and asked.
"How laughable. The person we were looking for was right before our eyes, yet we never realized it," Xu Zimo said with a smile.
"Right before our eyes?" Ji Ruobing froze for a moment.
