"Darkness Kingdom," Xu Zimo murmured.
The night remained as it was, thunder and rain raging together, the entire world drowned within them.
Everyone had fallen into a deep sleep.
In the middle of the night, a bout of knocking woke them all.
"Is Brother Han here?" someone shouted outside, sounding immensely anxious.
Xu Zimo walked out of his room, with the Han brothers following close behind.
When they opened the courtyard's great gate, they saw a haggard woman standing there.
"Old Sun's daughter-in-law, what happened?" Han Shengxiao asked in surprise upon seeing the woman outside.
"It's raining out. Why didn't you even bring an umbrella?"
"My child is injured, and there are no good medicines in the village," Old Sun's daughter-in-law said hurriedly.
"I know you two brothers often travel to the Darkness Kingdom. I wonder if you have any first-rate healing medicine.
I'll pay for it."
"What injury did he suffer?" Han Shengxiao asked with a frown.
"He was too playful. Tonight, with the rain making the dark road slippery, he failed to see clearly and fell from the edge of a cliff."
As Old Sun's daughter-in-law spoke, her voice had already turned choked with sobs.
"Old Uncle Chang was the one who found him. Otherwise, he'd probably be a corpse by now."
"Don't panic," Han Shengxiao hurriedly comforted her.
He turned and fetched a medical case from inside the house. "Let's go. We'll take a look first."
"Brother Han, can I come along?" Xu Zimo asked from the side.
"I know a little medicine."
"Then let's go together," Han Shengxiao said with a nod.
The night air was cool, even somewhat cold.
It made goosebumps rise all over one's skin.
The group remained silent along the way.
The rain seemed to have eased, though a fine drizzle
