A keen light flashed in Rykard's eyes as he looked at Zhao Si. "If the people where you come from are merely skilled fighters, that won't do. The Lands Between have sorceries and incantations. Those are quite deadly to warriors."
"What I told you about just now were ordinary wandering heroes. The truly powerful ones can fly!" Zhao Si pointed at the two-handed greatsword leaning beside Bernahl's table.
"See that sword?" Zhao Si said. "They can stand on that sword and fly wherever they want. They could make a round trip around the Lands Between in a day."
"How could such people exist?" Rykard was astonished.
People who could fly were exceedingly rare. Not even every Demigod could fly. His own Demigod brother, Radahn, could only fly because of gravity sorcery.
"Is it because of gravity sorcery?" Rykard asked. He had not known that gravity sorcery existed outside the Lands Between. Come to think of it, the red horsetail and glintstone star decorations on Zhao Si's bamboo hat both gave Rykard a sense of familiarity.
The red horsetail reminded him of his brother Radahn, while the glintstone stars reminded him of his younger sister Ranni.
The three siblings had not seen one another for some time, and Rykard rather missed them. Although he had recently exchanged secret letters with Ranni, reading words could never compare to seeing someone in person.
The three siblings had been close since childhood. Rykard even kept a portrait of Radahn hanging in his home. As for why he had no portrait of Ranni, that was because his little sister was too reclusive and never let anyone paint her. There were no portraits of anyone else in Ranni's Sorcery Tower, either, making it look as though she intended to cut ties with the family.
But Rykard
