The instant Asimi pulled the trigger, Zhao Si tilted his head aside, causing the Glintstone Firearm's "Glintstone Pebble" to strike the wall.
He returned fire with the Glintstone Firearm in his left hand, shooting at Asimi.
Strangely, although Zhao Si's "Glintstone Pebble" clearly hit Asimi, it did not seem to cause any damage. Instead, it sank in as though it had struck a mire.
Alecto's black dagger was still on his right. Zhao Si knocked downward with the tip of the Iron Meteorite Blade, striking the invisible dagger's tip squarely.
Using that force, Zhao Si flipped his body, turning a circle in midair. By feel, he should have gone around Alecto.
Then he landed behind her.
But just then, pain sprang up in Zhao Si's forehead, and a flash of light appeared out of thin air.
He knew that light all too well-the Glintstone Firearm!
With no other choice, he ducked, letting the "Glintstone Pebble" skim past his scalp.
Fortunately, the "Glintstone Pebble" did not fly all that fast. Zhao Si's reflexes could more or less keep up.
Having put some distance between them, Zhao Si now stood at the entrance to the Chair Temple. It looked as though he had trapped Alecto and Asimi inside.
"How do you have a Glintstone Firearm?" Zhao Si asked.
"You still have time to worry about that?" Asimi charged at him. "Is this how you use the Flowing Sword?"
Asimi moved unpredictably, seeming to spin in a dance as the Iron Meteorite Blade in his hand slashed swiftly at Zhao Si.
