Among the undead amalgamation giant Godwyn had smashed apart was a figure familiar to him.
Zhao Si and Fia watched from the side, utterly confused.
The shattered undead flowed across the ground as though it were the surface of water.
They shifted ceaselessly around that towering figure.
The man was at least as tall as Godwyn and even more heavily built, with broad shoulders and a powerful frame.
His armor looked melted, shriveled and charred, bound tightly to his body.
Rather than armor, it looked more like a straitjacket. Almost nothing remained of its design, making it impossible to tell which faction he had once belonged to.
He had short hair, and half his head had rotted away, leaving bare bone.
His four arms held two great curved blades.
One rested on his shoulder, while the other hung down to the ground.
Ghostflame rose from his mouth and nose with every breath, and an ominous red glow lingered in his pupils.
Godwyn patted his forehead. "Oh, I remember now. You were-you were one of the kings who once ruled the Lands Between, right? Beneath the Dragonlord. The Crucible King or something?"
"Hahahahaha!" The man called the Crucible King laughed loudly. "That's right. That's me. I once fought on behalf of the Crucible of Life."
"The Crucible of Life was the Ancient Erdtree. You misunderstood and attacked us first. You originally had a chance to surrender." Godwyn was actually explaining things to Zhao Si. "My father only formed the Crucible Knights after defeating you."
"It seems I left quite an impression on you and your father." The Crucible King was in no hurry to attack.
He looked entirely as though he wanted to reminisce.
There was a saying: a good opponent was also a good friend.
