Zhao Si had never been very good at keeping secrets, and that was still true now.
He told Godwyn outright about the Gloam-Eyed Queen's threat.
"Things aren't looking good. You know I'm a Tarnished, so I tend to attract the attention of Outer Gods." Zhao Si tried to put it as delicately as possible. "The ruler of this world has her eye on me now. She said she'd torture me to force you to submit."
"Huh?" Godwyn froze for a moment, then understood. "She's using you to threaten me?"
Godwyn instantly fell into a silent rage. Veins bulged all over his body, and his teeth ground audibly.
"She actually dares threaten me with my friend." Golden lightning flashed in Godwyn's still-golden eyes. His golden hair floated upward, and golden light rose all over his body.
Zhao Si had never expected the seemingly good-natured Godwyn to suddenly fly into such a rage.
It was not hard to understand, really. Godwyn valued loyalty and affection. Though he had only spent a short time with Zhao Si, he had learned about his past and knew he was on good terms with Godrick, Miquella, and the others.
Besides, Zhao Si had volunteered to venture into this dangerous place to rescue him, only to be threatened by the enemy. There was no way Godwyn would not be angry.
If something really happened to Zhao Si because of him, his conscience would never let him rest. Besides, Zhao Si and Fia were now his comrades, people who had gone into battle alongside him.
Would Godfrey abandon the knights and soldiers under his command and run away alone? Would he mistreat his comrades?
