After the investiture ceremony, Miquella had no free time at all.
He threw himself wholeheartedly back into his work.
With Morgott and Godwyn helping him this time, things got done much more efficiently.
During that time, Godwyn even made a point of writing a letter home and having a Storm Eagle deliver it to Godrick.
It recounted what had happened recently.
He had been so busy that he had forgotten there was still someone back at Stormveil Castle.
When Godrick received the letter, his eyes reddened with excitement.
"I knew my good partner could do it!" Godrick leaped straight out of his chair.
He had already heard rumors earlier that Godwyn had been resurrected and defeated Radahn.
But hearing about it was one thing. Seeing Godwyn's handwritten letter now felt entirely different.
Before, he could only say that a weight had been lifted from his heart.
Knowing that Godwyn was with his good partner and being well looked after had merely put his mind at ease at last.
Now, seeing the letter, his long-held longing and suppressed feelings surged out uncontrollably.
Godrick was so excited that he cried.
None of the Banished Knights present laughed at him. The knight beside him even patted his shoulder.
Godrick wiped his tears with his sleeve, muttering, "Father's letter. This is a letter from my father. Godwyn the Golden is alive and well. Our efforts weren't wasted. That big idiot Radahn got a beating from my father!"
"Young master, we all know," a Banished Knight comforted Godrick.
Godrick read on and saw that Godwyn had written: I'm going to become sworn brothers with the Elden Champion, and he's already Miquella's Knight now!
"The point guard is here."
Godrick's tears stopped at once. "What? That's my good partner. If-if you become brothers, wouldn't that mean...
