Ranni and Malenia left the house and entered the tearoom to talk about last night's dream.

The two sat down.

Ranni asked, "What were you two doing last night?"

"Hmm? We weren't doing anything." Malenia found it strange and did not understand why Ranni would care about something like that. "Didn't you want to talk about your dream?"

"Oh, right." Ranni rubbed her cheeks again. "Ahem, well..."

She told Malenia the dream from beginning to end.

The red moon, the dead god on the moon.

Every one of those strange sights was highly unusual.

Malenia recalled the moon she had seen last night. "The moon looked pretty normal last night."

"Because we're in the Land of Reeds," Ranni said. "If something really did happen to the moon, and a god covered it up, we wouldn't be able to see anything unusual."

"You mean one god killed another god and covered up the crime." Malenia understood what Ranni meant.

Ranni nodded. "Exactly. That's the only possibility."

"I've heard there are all sorts of gods in the Land of Reeds, great and small. But there must be gods who lead them." Malenia held her chin. "If something went seriously wrong up above, then this chaos down below would make a little more sense."

She meant the wars in the mortal world and the monsters running rampant.

She was mainly using her experience in the Lands Between to make deductions about the Land of Reeds.

Back in the Lands Between, unless Demigods like them called for war, war would not easily break out.

Expecting mortals to ignite a war across the entire Lands Between was utterly impossible.

By the same reasoning, with the gods of the Land of Reeds no longer doing their jobs, of course the humans had descended into complete chaos.
