This book is finally finished. I suppose that fulfills my promise of at least two million Chinese characters when it went premium. I feel like I can breathe a sigh of relief.
You all probably noticed it too: my writing really did fall short toward the end. Every day, I sat in front of the computer, unable to think of anything to write.
Thankfully, although the writing was a dry chronicle, like an explanatory text without much emotional variation, especially during this stretch when the later updates fell short.
I did at least barely manage to tell a complete story. Thank you all so much for your understanding!
My plan is to take a short break, during which I'll probably post some side stories from time to time and prepare a new book, as well as build up a backlog of chapters.
With this book, I simply lacked experience. I didn't have any chapters saved up when it went premium, so I couldn't give you a burst of extra updates. I didn't have a backlog later on either, which meant that whenever something interrupted me, I became irritable and anxious.
I'll learn from this experience for the next book, and I hope it'll be a better reading experience for everyone.
