Chapter Summaries

After the Herrscher of Binding was defeated, Lingchen moved the remaining MANTISes and several allies into the Pure Land while Mei confirmed the Herrscher cycle. At the meeting, Lingchen revealed that Rin—not Elysia—would become the Twelfth Herrscher, the Herrscher of Corruption, and Rin reassured Sakura that Lingchen would protect her.

• Mei sent the MANTISes against the Herrscher of Binding, and Kevin destroyed it with a full-powered Heavenly Fire strike.
• Lingchen brought the surviving MANTISes, Blanka, Klein, Himiko, and others to the continent within the Pure Land.
• Mei examined the lunar ruins and concluded that fourteen Herrschers would appear, with the Herrscher of Finality ultimately destroying the world.
• Mei announced that one Herrscher remained, but Lingchen said the next Herrscher would be Rin rather than Elysia.
• Lingchen identified Rin as the future Herrscher of Corruption, and Rin comforted Sakura by saying Lingchen would have a solution.

The MOTH members prepared for Elysia’s banquet after she realized her authority could help the future Herrschers escape fate, though doing so would require her to return to the Cocoon of Finality. As invitations spread, her friends suspected the banquet was a farewell, while trusting Lingchen to save her.

• Lingchen extracted the dormant Herrscher of Corruption from Rin and sealed it in Vill-V’s Black Box.
• Mei presented the plans for the Previous Era’s survivors to hibernate and awaken in the future, and Lingchen explained that he would fix the worldline and adjust future events.
• Lingchen instructed Mei to store the nuclear bombs in the last three cities and prepare to transfer the selected population before Finality arrived.
• Elysia invited the others to a banquet after concluding that her authority could help free future Herrschers from fate, but that she would have to return to the Cocoon of Finality.
• Mobius, Griseo, Kalpas, Kevin, Su, Kosma, Aponia, Hua, and Pardo received invitations, and several of them trusted Lingchen to protect Elysia.

Lingchen chose to intervene in Elysia’s planned departure, reassuring her and the Flame-Chasers that he would find a way to keep her from leaving. At the banquet, Elysia gave her friends Crystal Flowers and Lingchen a key to her private space, while Eden confirmed that Elysia had understood the cost of her original plan.

• Pardo brought Elysia’s banquet invitation to Lingchen, who told her he would make his own choice about Elysia’s fate.
• At Elysia’s farewell banquet, Lingchen embraced her and assured everyone, “You have me,” then promised he could do what he wanted to do.
• Elysia realized Lingchen was intervening for her sake and began to trust his decision, while the others relaxed and ate Vill-V’s lavish meal.
• After the banquet, Elysia gave sixteen Crystal Flowers to her friends and gave Lingchen a pink crystal key to her private space in the Elysian Realm.
• Eden told Elysia that she and Lingchen had both understood Elysia’s plan, and reassured her that there was no need to worry now.

Lingchen used the Authority of [True Self] to return Elysia’s wish and power to the Cocoon of Finality while concealing her from it, severing the threads of fate. With the final battle against the Herrscher of Finality approaching, Mei assigned the Previous Era’s survivors to their roles and hibernation plans.

• Lingchen explained that his Authority of Origin could use symmetry breaking, and Mobius identified his other Authority as [True Self], which he said he would also call Elysia.
• Lingchen copied power equal to Elysia’s, infused her emotions and wish into it, and sent it back to the Cocoon of Finality while hiding Elysia from its detection.
• Aponia saw that the threads of fate had snapped, and Kevin agreed that only the final battle remained.
• Mei proposed using Vill-V’s remote control of the Moonlight Throne to attack the Herrscher of Finality while Kevin tested whether it could be temporarily shut down.
• Mei ordered Kalpas, Kosma, and Eden to hibernate in the Elysian Realm, while Kevin, Su, Hua, Danzhu, and Cang Xuan were told to follow their plans and use the Divine Key, Stasis of All Things, hibernation pods.

Mei’s team awakened the Herrscher of Finality, whose attack devastated the remaining population, but Kevin struck her with Heavenly Fire and left her incapacitated for forty-eight hours. Lingchen prepared Prometheus No. 17 to enter the Cocoon of Finality, then approached the sleeping goddess with unclear intentions.

• Mei revealed that Kevin’s child, Adam, was being grown in a Cultivation Pod and said Su would help Kevin raise him.
• Mei’s team moved most people and resources into the Elysian Realm, leaving the Herrscher of Finality to awaken on the Moon.
• The Herrscher of Finality’s arrival overwhelmed Earth, and her spoken word turned the remaining survivors into zombies or ash.
• Vill-V fired the Moonlight Throne at the Herrscher of Finality, and Lingchen moved it out of danger before Kevin hit her with Heavenly Fire: Unleashed.

Lingchen awakened the Herrscher of Finality, gave her free will, and set her on her world-destroying mission before traveling through time to protect people whose lives had been cut short. His interventions changed the lives of Ji Lin, Kallen, Yae Sakura, and Rin, while Kallen ultimately entrusted the Key of Corruption to Yae Sakura.

• Lingchen examined the sleeping Herrscher of Finality, but she woke and attacked him; he stopped her and destroyed her World-Destroying Divine Spear.
• Lingchen kissed the Herrscher of Finality, granting her free will and emotions, then told her to continue her world-destroying mission and disappeared.
• Lingchen observed Vita receive Mei's human gene ship and enter the creation stage; Vita remembered him warmly and vowed to wait for him.
• Lingchen left protective power and dream guidance for Ji Lin, Kallen, Yae Sakura, and Rin, changing their futures and helping Rin and Sakura resist their village's abuses.
• Kallen met Yae Sakura in Yae Village, and the Key of Corruption chose Sakura, so Kallen left it in her friend's hands.

Lingchen intervened in Kallen’s execution, altered Otto’s path, and then met Li Sushang before her encounter with the Jinsha Gang. He gave Li Sushang the power to survive until the future and persuaded her to seek out the world five hundred years later, but an overwhelming presence nearby interrupted their conversation.

• Lingchen killed Schicksal’s leaders with the Honkai Beasts Otto had released, revived Kallen, and left her sleeping in the Pure Land while shaping Otto’s future actions.
• Lingchen met Li Sushang before she went to test her sword against the Jinsha Gang and warned her about Otto, who was then known as Luocha.
• Lingchen froze Li Sushang’s age, strengthened her abilities, and told her she could reach the future by joining Schicksal or sealing herself into slumber.
• Lingchen persuaded Li Sushang by promising that she would meet the future and that her mother, Qin Suyi, would live out her life and die of old age.
• Lingchen and Li Sushang sensed immense true qi surging from a nearby mountain range, and Li Sushang feared it came from an evil creature.

Lingchen reunited with Fu Hua, who agreed to become Otto’s Observer, before leaving for another time period. Fu Hua used the Feather of Misfortune to keep Li Sushang from revealing what she had witnessed, and Lingchen continued visiting people across several years to claim check-in rewards.

• Li Sushang encountered Fu Hua, recognized her as her grandmaster, and nervously introduced herself.
• Fu Hua embraced Lingchen, reassured Li Sushang, and agreed to go to Schicksal as Otto’s Observer.
• Lingchen and Fu Hua took photos together before Lingchen departed for another time and space.
• Fu Hua used the Feather of Misfortune to make Li Sushang unconsciously change the subject if she tried to tell anyone about the meeting.
• Lingchen visited several people between 1934 and October 1955, leaving traces of his power and receiving character-card rewards.

Lingchen rescued Cecilia Schariac, then kept her with him by claiming she owed him for her treatment and taking her on a weeklong tour. When Cecilia’s teammates contacted her, she decided she had to return to Schicksal, leaving Lingchen to accept that he would not change her mind for now.

• Lingchen caught the unconscious Cecilia after Welt and the others attacked her convoy, and received character cards for the Herrschers of Finality and the Void.
• Lingchen told Siegfried to return to Schicksal and pursue Maria Schariac, whom Siegfried admitted he liked.
• After Cecilia woke, Lingchen convinced her to travel with him instead of returning to Schicksal immediately.
• Lingchen took Cecilia around a nearby city, and she spent nearly a week enjoying their outings together.
• Cecilia’s teammates contacted her again, and she apologized to Lingchen before preparing to return to Schicksal.

Lingchen protected Cecilia, placed protective power in young Mei, Kiana, and Bella, and checked in on them to obtain Character Cards. After his system upgraded and his existence grew beyond HooH’s influence, he traveled to Babylon and reached out telepathically to Sirin, leaving her startled and searching for the voice.

Lingchen healed Sirin, explained Honkai and her future, and persuaded her to accept Herrscher power while keeping her consciousness intact. When the Second Honkai Eruption began, Sirin became the Herrscher of the Void and headed for the moon, while Lingchen arranged to save Valkyries and prepare for what came next.

• Lingchen embraced Sirin, healed her, and listened as she described the Babylon experiments and the deaths of her friends.
• Lingchen explained Honkai and asked whether Sirin still wanted to become a Herrscher; Sirin chose revenge but offered her own life rather than destroy the world.
• Lingchen granted Sirin protection from Honkai's influence and told her about her future and his plans; Sirin agreed to help him and preserve the Worldline.

Lingchen later named Misteln Schariac, changed her abilities, and continued checking in on future characters, including Bronya, Seele, and Himeko.

• Cecilia bound Maria and used Holy Blood Liberation to cleanse the area while Sirin followed Lingchen’s plan and showed Cecilia an illusion of Kiana’s death.
• Cecilia embraced Sirin, confessed her love, and unleashed Holy Blood Liberation as Otto dropped the Silver Bullet.

• Lingchen checked in after meeting Ragna Lodbrok, received a Rita Character Card, and left Ragna protective energy.
• Rita joined Schicksal, while Siegfried discovered K-423 and defected from Schicksal.
• Lingchen checked in near Cocolia, received a Cocolia Character Card, and then traveled through spacetime to the Third Honkai Eruption.
