Chapter 119: Shedding a Tail to Survive
When Luo Shu noticed an unusual disturbance inside the Astronomy Club, his brow twitched, and he projected his consciousness into the alternate space within it.
This time, he did not create a false version of himself to house his consciousness. His perspective was therefore not that of human eyes, but an all-encompassing, 360-degree view from above, like that of a deity.
It was then that he saw Ishaha, who had escaped several times by feigning death, reciting a prayer in the demon language.
"-The noble prince of hell."
"-The master of lost knowledge."
"-The herald of the past and future."
"-The great demon god, Vassago!"
Luo Shu was startled when he saw Ishaha reciting the incantation. Instinctively, he moved to draw on the power within the Astronomy Club, manifest a weapon, and kill her. Luo Shu had experimented a few times and found that the more familiar he was with something, the easier it was to manifest, so his first impulse was to manifest the pistol he carried. Yet just as he was about to manifest the gun and finish Ishaha off, his intuition told him that perhaps doing nothing would actually benefit him more.
For the first time, Luo Shu's thoughts and intuition gave opposing answers.
This left Luo Shu briefly conflicted. Just then, he sensed a faint power entering his "territory."
That power was exceptionally weak, like a candle flame flickering in a cold wind, giving Luo Shu the feeling that he could extinguish it with a casual gesture.
