The person who suddenly blocked her way made Utaha Kasumigaoka pause.
She glanced at Eriri as she hurried away and reached out as if to stop her, but in the end, she could only watch her leave.

"Sorry, I'm not looking to visit a maid café."
Though she wanted to say, "Handing maid café flyers to a girl like me is a bad move," Utaha Kasumigaoka couldn't bring herself to be that rude to a stranger, especially a cute girl.
Having politely declined the invitation to the maid café, Utaha Kasumigaoka was about to walk past her and leave, but the white-haired maid suddenly shifted, blocking her way again and looking her up and down in surprise.
Utaha Kasumigaoka frowned. "I think I made myself quite clear, didn't I?"
"When I caught that scent just now, I thought something was a little off. And it really is the scent of one of my own kind."
The petite white-haired maid showed her little fangs and said excitedly:
"My name is Maria Naruse. Which clan are you from? I hadn't heard there were any others of our kind here in Japan. Could you be one of those legendary 'Descent Species'?"
Maria Naruse... Clan... Our kind... A Lost One? Has she mistaken me for someone else?
