Klein sat down at the head of the table and was just about to try bringing people up when, amid the shifting gray fog in the distance, he suddenly spotted his junk pile. He sucked in a breath, shame welling up inside him, and hurriedly moved it farther away.

After moving the junk pile and grabbing a few patches of gray fog to conceal it securely, Klein returned to the Fool's seat. He checked his surroundings, confirmed everything was in order, and waited a little longer before taking out his pendulum, drawing a deep breath, and attempting divination.

Normally, he only needed to find a divination statement and enter a dream, but after the subject of his divination had come knocking and killed him, Klein now felt that the gray fog was a hot potato. It could offer help beyond his own abilities, making him as omnipotent as a god, while also subtly stripping him of his reverence for this world and making him reckless.

But... why was Edward Vaughan the only one who could locate me so precisely? The Eternal Blazing Sun and the True Creator previously... could He be stronger than those true gods? That shouldn't be possible. Or could all the true gods and angels I divined actually see me, and it was just a question of how clearly, or whether they wanted to teach me a lesson? That would explain why the True Creator had the Aurora Order issue a commission to find me.

Holding his yellow crystal pendulum, he hesitated.

He had to divine to find out whether the Tarot Club gathering could proceed smoothly, but if he really divined something, someone might very well come knocking again. Perhaps he couldn't escape the disaster awaiting him, but the Tarot Club's other members were innocent.
