"Captain, this is the information on the King of Immortality."
On the fifth day after finalizing their cooperation, Bernadette received further news: the King of Immortality had left the island where he was based and begun roaming the seas.
The King of Immortality had always kept a relatively low profile and wielded the powerful Sealed Artifact Death Announcer. Some pirates believed that the King of Immortality himself was not particularly strong, perhaps only on the level of an Admiral of the Pirates, and that the true King of Immortality was actually the Death Announcer.
That was hard to say. After all, Demons were always cunning and sinister. Perhaps Agalito was deliberately feigning weakness to attract prey.
What exactly does that Saint of the Seer Pathway want with information on Agalito... Does he need a Saint-level marionette? (She had gathered information and learned that Sequence 5 of the Seer Pathway was called Marionettist.) Or does he want the Sealed Artifact Death Announcer? Or is there some other personal grudge? Although it had little to do with her, Bernadette could not help being curious.
The information included the approximate stretch of sea where the King of Immortality was currently located and the routes he might take. This should be about enough. Any more detail, and he would notice... Because of a Devil's troublesome ability to sense danger, Bernadette had relied entirely on "luck" for this investigation.
For example, she had divided her subordinates into several teams and sent them in different directions carrying mid- and low-Sequence Sealed Artifacts of the Devil Pathway, to see whether they might cross paths with the King of Immortality within seven days.
So far, her luck seemed pretty good.
At four in the afternoon, the passenger ship docked at a port.
It would remain there
