Merely looking directly at those two drops of blood made Colin Iliad and the other two immediately begin to mutate. Their bodies rapidly swelled, their expressions twisted, and their muscles and expanding limbs began to tear through their clothes.
The Chief, in particular, began uncontrollably revealing a giant's Mythical Creature Form. His skin turned bluish, and his eyes began moving toward the center, as though about to become a single vertical eye radiating Dawn Light.

After the light vanished, everything returned to normal. The warriors remained warriors, without mutating into giants, and their clothes showed no signs of damage.
The silver-gray-haired infant rubbed his eyes and peacefully went back to sleep. The bloodstains on his swaddling clothes had disappeared as well.
Derrick held him in a slight daze, feeling that the cold, terrifying serpent had turned back into a soft, harmless child.
He was certain that he had indeed received Mr. Fool's summons just now. His spiritual world had even outlined that sky with its seven clear lights and those towering, eternally unchanging buildings. The Angel of Fate had transformed into a silver-white giant serpent coiled around him, raising his head as though gazing toward that place as well. His lower jaw had been directly above Derrick's head, reminding Derrick of that distorted Amon.
Then he had seen the silver-white ring appear and felt something thick and heavy shatter around him.
His consciousness returned to his body, and Derrick rapidly regained his awareness of his surroundings.
He opened his eyes and saw a candle ahead that had almost burned down to its base, its wick supporting a tiny flame that swayed in the wind.
Immediately afterward, he discovered that the Chief had somehow come to stand beside him.
