Backlund, late at night.
Sensing that she had digested a little more of her potion, Audrey eagerly used Dream Traversal to leave her mansion and enter the various dreams in the surrounding area.
After realizing that the preferential treatment from her relatives in Intis stemmed from her own strength, she had become even more eager to advance.
As she "traversed" like this, she suddenly spotted someone she knew.
This was a noblewoman she was on good terms with, twenty-nine years old, who had married a viscount the year before last.
At that moment, rose petals drifted endlessly through the lady's room. The bed was pristine white, with a pair of heart-shaped rings laid upon it, while a knocking sound came from the window.
Her cheeks flushed, the lady hurried over and opened the window.
A man wearing a Black Iron Mask and a dark cloak leaped inside, embraced the lady, and told her softly:
"I will take you far away from suffering."
Then the two began entwining themselves in all sorts of ways, tumbling all the way onto the bed.
As a Dreamwalker working hard to digest her potion, Audrey had long since witnessed similar scenes, passed the stage of embarrassment, and marveled at how colorful and imaginative everyone's dreams were. Now, she did not lose her composure at all, maintaining the etiquette befitting a Spectator, as though watching an excessively provocative play.
After a brief examination, she discovered a problem:
The man wearing the Black Iron Mask was not the lady's spouse. He looked more like a certain playboy in aristocratic circles.
"Is this a reflection of hidden thoughts?" Audrey murmured with the scholarly attitude of someone conducting dream analysis.
Audrey could not help leaving the dream to look at the viscount and his wife's actual circumstances.
