Passing numerous facilities and plazas, they entered a hall, where a great door appeared before them.
On either side of the palace stood a tower, one pointed and the other round. The ancient, imposing style of the Giants and its symbolism reminded Klein of the towers found in both the City of Silver and Moon City. The main entrance had a grayish-blue base covered in symmetrical, mysterious symbols, and its overall height far exceeded ten meters.
To the left of the seam between the doors, three or four meters above the ground, was a pitch-black hole about the size of an adult's fist.
After briefly checking their surroundings for danger, they followed the railing formed from stone pillars to the tallest, most magnificent building within the Giant King's Court, arriving directly before the door.
"The Lord has already entrusted me with the key to this door."
Taking a deep breath under their expectant gazes, Klein stepped forward and reached out to pull forth Enuni, the marionette that had once belonged to him.
In truth, the marionette had not been destroyed. He called it "once" because he had now left Enuni in Dwayne Dantès's residence under the control of Richard Ernst, who had once been a Zombie. After all, this was Dantès's personal valet, an important part of the wealthy Dwayne persona.
