"Was that Medici?"
Klein stared at the figure on the large screen. With the City of Calamity's interference, he could not make out much either. But he distinctly sensed a bloodthirsty, berserk aura filling the other party.
The other party was fighting a figure whose aura was extremely obscure. Klein saw it pierce the figure's shoulder with a sword, only for the sword to shatter, turning into a few red threads of blood that sank into the figure!
This definitely did not belong to Medici himself. At least, it should not have belonged to Medici in his normal state.
This was the effect of the City of Calamity's corruption...
Klein frowned deeply, finding this troublesome.
But he had no intention of simply watching blankly. He immediately tried sending some information through Sefirah Castle, while letting the gray fog gradually approach the other party and loosely surround it at a distance of two or three meters. Klein watched its movements closely, not daring to relax at all. Sure enough, he saw it draw a bone from its own arm. As the bone was slowly pulled out of its flesh, it lengthened and sharpened, taking the shape of a longsword.
It was also watching the surrounding gray fog. It made a few simple slashes with the longsword, its gaze constantly searching the void for something.
Klein knew it was searching for his location.
The two "people" remained at an impasse for the moment. Neither made another move, afraid that doing so would expose the limits of their power.
At this moment, the yellow crystal pendulum in his hand had stopped spinning and hung motionless, perpendicular to the tabletop.
His earlier divination statement had been "Medici's current location." By borrowing Sefirah Castle's power, he had avoided divining the City of Calamity instead.
