If there is no Visionary, then I will take the City of Imagination first.
-God Almighty
In the exceedingly distant past, the Dragon of Imagination, Ankewelt, had happened upon corruption from underground.
He had been utterly horrified and terrified, yet dared not let himself forget it lest he return there someday, so he had hastily left the place where the corruption lay. However, whether one called what lay underground "corruption" or "catastrophe," whatever negative terms one used to describe it, none could change its essence-it was the symbol of omniscience and omnipotence, one of the pillars of the universe, the all-embracing Chaos Sea.
Ankewelt feared it, and feared Him as well.
The very first instant he saw this sefirah, he understood what a terrifying existence it was. He therefore left immediately, not daring to return.
However, even the highest-level Spectator could not completely dispel the unease and fear within his heart. The ancient gods did not fear madness. They lived alongside it; what later generations considered "madness" was their most normal state. But that did not mean they had no fears.
That glimpse left Ankewelt with an indelible psychological shadow, and this Visionary, who could turn his imagination into reality, slowly and uncontrollably manifested that shadow until it became the darkness behind the Dragon King's Throne. Although it was merely a projection of his fear of the sefirah, it truly did gradually establish a mystical connection with the Chaos Sea, allowing the Chaos Sea's power to invade his palace. Fear took tangible form, impossible to escape. This was why the Chaos Sea, deep underground, appeared in a city in the sky.
Ultimately, for various reasons, Ankewelt abandoned the true Liveseyd, hiding it within the Sea of Collective Subconscious in Groselle's Travels, which he had created, and using it
