Chaotic currents flowed slowly around a long stone table. Ancient-looking thrones, each radiating a different aura and pressure, stood along both sides and at one end.
Two towering figures appeared amid the chaotic currents almost simultaneously. They were Giant Axe Founder and Hu Yanbo.
Giant Axe Founder strode straight toward the long stone table's sole seat of honor-the throne at one end. His gaze was steady and thoughtful as he surveyed the other empty seats, seemingly pondering something.
Hu Yanbo habitually headed toward his original seat-a throne midway along the left side of the table, alongside those of Chaos City Lord, Lord Peng Gong, and the others, though positioned relatively farther back.
"Myriad Forms."
Just as Hu Yanbo was about to reach his former throne, Giant Axe Founder's steady voice called him to a halt.
"Hmm?" Hu Yanbo stopped and looked toward Giant Axe Founder in the seat of honor with slight confusion.
A smile appeared on Giant Axe Founder's face. He pointed toward the other end of the long stone table, and an enormous throne rose into place.
"Sit there."
"All right." Hu Yanbo's eyes flickered as he looked toward the throne Giant Axe Founder had indicated.
Before sitting down, his gaze swept over the throne's backrest.
At the center of its relief stood a somewhat indistinct figure radiating endless mystery. Beside him, slightly behind, was the profile of an old man standing respectfully with his head slightly bowed.
At the edges of the relief, the outlines of two figures could vaguely be seen fleeing in panic and disarray.
Hu Yanbo smiled. The relief certainly suited the occasion.
