The system Chen Ping was describing actually had quite a resounding name on Blue Star: the Cradle System. In computer architecture, its name was rather simpler and blunter: the Watchdog Timer.
The main program continually sent out watchdog-feeding signals, and the Watchdog System continually received them. Once the signal was interrupted, the Watchdog System would act immediately. It was that simple, yet sufficiently impossible to counter.
A Level 9 Fixed-Installation Shell that could only be triggered after receiving a signal might still be prevented from detonating by blocking the signal source. But who would dare stop the transmission of a signal to a destruction machine that remained ready to trigger at every moment and needed that signal to reset its countdown?
This was the so-called Cradle System. If you did not keep rocking the cradle properly, the child inside would start bawling. Under these circumstances, interrupting the rocking would only wake the child sooner.
In truth, Chen Ping had never had the time to go beneath the Star Dou Forest and bury Level 9 Fixed-Installation Shells. Nor could he create a Cradle System that maintained stable signal transmission. Otherwise, if the signal was interrupted even once for any reason, the human world would probably truly face a catastrophe that drowned it utterly.
However, that did not stop Chen Ping from frightening Di Tian with a concept that had never appeared on the Douluo Continent. After all, once someone understood this thing and believed that the system existed, there was virtually no way for them to counter it.
If Xuan Zi or Du Busi had told Di Tian that they had installed a Watchdog System beneath the Great Ferocious Land, Di Tian might not have believed them.
But when those words came from Chen Ping, who already had the spectacular achievement
