"What on earth happened?!"
"Everyone, move out immediately! Keep the public safe!"
The Harbor Town Rangers patrolling around the square immediately answered the call. While evacuating and protecting the crowd, they all tried to use their Capture Stylers to bring the rampaging Pokémon under control.
Unfortunately, just like the Poké Balls that had stopped working, the Capture Stylers, which had always been able to convey their feelings to Pokémon quickly, had now completely lost their effect.
No matter how they drew circles with their Capture Discs, they could not feel the slightest emotional connection with the Pokémon. The capture progress bars stayed at zero percent, as though frozen!
"How is this possible?!"
"Captain, what should we do?!"
The Rangers found themselves in an unprecedented predicament. The Capture Stylers they relied on to maintain their bonds with Pokémon had completely stopped working, leaving them, who were used to resolving problems through communication, momentarily at a loss.
"Stay calm!" Though equally shocked inside, the captain of the Harbor Town base still struggled to remain composed.
"If the Capture Stylers don't work, we'll use the most basic methods!
Pair up! One group will use protective nets and obstacles to restrict the out-of-control Pokémon, while the other prioritizes evacuating and protecting the public!
Move!"
The well-trained Rangers immediately changed tactics upon receiving their orders.
They took out their spare protective nets and used the benches, stalls, and other objects in the square as cover, struggling to restrain the rampaging Pokémon while doing their best to guide the panicked crowd to safety.
However, there were too many out-of-control Pokémon, making the Rangers' work extraordinarily difficult. They could barely maintain order and prevent a more serious stampede, but could not solve the underlying problem.
"Captain! This isn't working!" a Ranger shouted anxiously. "Let's call for backup!"
