Within the Monster Beast Mountain Range, Jia Lie Jun sprinted wildly, his clothes torn to shreds by branches, several bloody scratches marring his handsome face, leaving him disheveled and filthy. Several magical beasts chased after him madly, rapidly closing the distance. Jia Lie Jun lightly tapped off the ground with both feet and leaped into the air. Dou Qi traveled through his meridians to his back, and with a flash of purple light, a pair of wings about half a foot long somehow sprouted from his back. His wings beat rapidly as he flew into the sky.

"Whew, that was close." Jia Lie Jun wiped the sweat from his forehead and breathed a sigh of relief. He then looked down at the magical beasts below, raised his middle finger, and said disdainfully, "If you've got the guts, come up here." As though it understood him, one of the magical beasts threw back its head and howled.

Jia Lie Jun carefully controlled his wings as he flew high overhead. The wings on his back were the Flight Fighting Skill he had obtained in the cave, Eagle's Wings. However, he had yet to master them, so they worked only intermittently. Otherwise, he would not have ended up in such a sorry state, fleeing wildly from several magical beasts. As for what he had obtained from the bone joint, it was the Remnant Map of the Pure Lotus Demonic Flame.

Her long hair was arranged into a noble phoenix-style coiffure, making her appear graceful and regal. A pair of cyan wings extended from her back, but unlike Jia Lie Jun's Purple Cloud Wings, these were somewhat illusory. They were likely formed from condensed Dou Qi—Dou Qi Manifested Wings, the mark of an expert above the Dou Wang realm. Facing the woman was the Amethyst Winged Lion King.

High in the sky, the woman waved both hands, and an enormous cyan tornado storm carrying devastating power swept toward the Amethyst Winged Lion King. Wherever the storm passed, trees dozens of meters thick were forcibly uprooted. Seeing the incoming storm, the Amethyst Winged Lion King let out a long roar. The Purple Fire on its body blazed brightly, as though it had set the entire sky ablaze. With a thunderous BANG, a massive shockwave spread from the point of collision. The woman and the Amethyst Winged Lion King were both blasted back dozens of meters before steadying themselves. The instant she regained her balance, the woman beat her cyan wings and transformed into a streak of light. In the next moment, she appeared behind the Amethyst Winged Lion King. Her sword shot forward, its tip carrying a wind blade that spun at high speed with a piercing hum. The wind blade struck the Amethyst Winged Lion King's body with a series of metallic clanks, sending sparks flying, yet the beast remained completely unharmed. Only a few shallow white marks were left behind.

The Amethyst Winged Lion King spun around, its enormous paw carrying a howling wind as it viciously slapped toward the woman. The woman rapidly formed hand seals, one complex imprint after another shifting and changing. A cyan shield several yards thick immediately formed before her. The massive claw slammed fiercely into the cyan shield, instantly covering it in cracks before it shattered into fragments that scattered through the air and vanished without a trace.

Seeing the shield shatter, the woman retreated swiftly. The spiraling horn atop the Amethyst Winged Lion King's head blazed with purple light. A purple pillar of flame shot toward her. The woman swung her longsword, and a sword radiance dozens of yards long instantly split the purple fire pillar in two.

The woman beat her wings and rapidly retreated, hoping to widen the distance between herself and the Amethyst Winged Lion King. Magical beasts were renowned for their formidable defenses and held a great advantage in close combat, so how could the Amethyst Winged Lion King grant her wish? Its massive body pressed forward. Though the woman was extremely fast, the Amethyst Winged Lion King, despite its huge size, was remarkably agile and barely managed to keep up with her movements. Faced with its unrelenting attacks, the woman had no choice but to avoid its edge and use her speed advantage to entangle it.

Seeing that its attacks repeatedly failed to land, the Amethyst Winged Lion King roared angrily, "Human woman, you have completely enraged me."

The Amethyst Winged Lion King roared toward the sky, its lion's roar resounding through the heavens. The purple glow on its body grew increasingly brilliant until the entire sky was dyed purple. Seeing the dazzling purple light emanating from the Amethyst Winged Lion King, the surrounding magical beasts that had been watching immediately scattered in panic and fled.

With no room left to retreat, the cyan longsword in the woman's hand let out a soft cry. A thin ray of light shot toward the Amethyst Winged Lion King's head. The Amethyst Winged Lion King slightly lowered its head and barely dodged it. However, the fiery-red spiraling horn atop its head was cleanly severed.

The Amethyst Winged Lion King let out a savage lion's roar, and its giant paw slammed heavily into the woman's chest. She spat out a mouthful of blood, her pretty face turning pale. With a beat of her cyan wings, her figure flickered several times before disappearing beyond the horizon.

Seeing this, Jia Lie Jun hurriedly ran in the direction where the woman had vanished. He followed her trail all the way until he finally stopped at a waterfall. There, he saw the beautiful woman floating on the river, her eyes tightly closed and her face deathly pale.

"Ah, only a kind-hearted person like me would step in to help. And I can even remain unmoved in the face of beauty like yours." Jia Lie Jun sighed and said shamelessly.
