There were many records in a single temple. After a cursory look through them, Di Yi had not found the information he wanted, but he had not come away empty-handed either. At least he understood this world better.

"Did you find it?" Seeing Di Yi emerge from the temple, Qin Ling eagerly stepped forward to ask.

"No." Di Yi shook his head. Immortal Mountain had many ancient historical texts, but few were valuable. Most were fragmentary records, giving him the impression that they wrote things down when they were in a good mood and left them unrecorded when they were not.

"No...? It's all right. There are other temples here. You'll surely find what you need." Qin Ling could hardly ask what he was looking for, so he could only say this.

"Hopefully." Di Yi entered the second temple and paced among the rows of scripture shelves.

Like the previous temple, this one also held fragmentary records, though the period they covered was considerably earlier.

Just like that, he went in and out of temples throughout this small world. As he leafed through the past, time slipped by unnoticed.

Several days later.

"Still nothing." Di Yi frowned as he emerged from the thirty-sixth temple. This could not go on. He was beginning to doubt whether Immortal Mountain truly had records of that period.

"Did you find it?" Qin Ling had accompanied Di Yi here for several days. Seeing him emerge from yet another temple with his brows tightly furrowed, his heart leaped into his throat.

"Let's set that aside for now. Tell me, when do your Immortal Mountain's records of the Primordial Era begin?" Di Yi asked.

"When do they begin?" Qin Ling paused, then thought for a moment before answering, "That should be the end of the Primordial Era."
