The next moment, the Netherworld Venerable struck first. He employed no world-shaking divine ability, nor did he unleash any unanswerable attack. He merely thrust out a palm with extraordinary slowness, plain and unadorned, yet restrained and entirely at his command.
Specks of lustrous white light clung to that palm. In others' eyes, it was merely a light, floating strike, without any tremendous heavenly might, seemingly nothing more than an ordinary probing attack.
But in Taiyi's eyes, that palm expanded without limit. It was nothing short of a killing blow, as though six revolving great universes were pressing down together. There was no way to evade it; he could only meet it head-on.
