The often-heard terms V6 and V8 referred to V-type engines.
Little Sheep had an inline L-type engine, so installing conventional twin turbos would be a bit troublesome.
Thus, Shen Qi chose a "Sequential Turbo," a branch of the larger twin-turbo family.
It meant having two turbos, one large and one small. At low speeds, the large turbo's piping was closed off, so the exhaust only needed to drive the small turbo. Once the small turbo spun up, it would drive the larger one.
That was the sequence behind the design.
After some deliberation, Shen Qi chose the latter over a Twin-Scroll Turbo, matching the pipe layout Huzang had currently modified.
The [Compatible Turbo] really was too unusual.
Once the matching pipes were installed, Shen Qi could only choose a Sequential Turbo during races. If he switched to another turbo, there would be no piping to match it.
These modifications were about enough for now. He would probably have some new insights after the Winter Race.
"Oh, install an Intercooler too."
It was something used to cool the intake piping.
The turbo compressed air, increasing its density and temperature. Little Sheep previously had no Intercooler, and the piping had been installed by Shen Qi on the fly, which was why it had burst so easily.
Without temperature control, the engine drawing in hot air was dangerous too.
After all the modifications, Shen Qi had spent over 50,000 b, leaving him with around 140,000 in savings.
So although Maractus could earn close to 100,000 in a lucky month, Racing Drivers also had enormous expenses. If she had a few months of poor results, Shaling's household finances would be in serious danger.
"You really do put it through a lot." Huzang operated the lift, lowering Little Sheep. "When are you planning to leave?"
