Chapter 324: A terrible combination

Xia Yang knew his own limits and almost never signed up for the winter or spring T3 races.

The Autumn Race was fairly ordinary, while the summer race was the best opportunity for weaker drivers to push for certification.

The reason was that the annual T2 race took place midyear, usually in early July, while T1 took place in late July or early August.

The summer race, meanwhile, took place in late June, on the summer solstice.

For racing fans and Pokémon battle spectators, this period was an absolute audiovisual feast. Watching the whole thing was a thrilling ride.

Of course, drivers could not possibly participate in all of them.

Drivers competing in that year's T2 race generally skipped the summer race. There was often less than a week between them, making the schedule far too tight.

These drivers either skipped the summer race or entered just to drive a few casual laps and keep their touch. They certainly would not reveal their trump cards.

The same went for drivers competing in the world championship (T1). They were unlikely to enter the summer race that year, lest they expose their strengths to competitors from other regions.

As a result, a huge wave of strong competitors would not enter the summer race.

Students and workers both had time off for the winter holidays and the following spring holidays, but only students had summer vacation, further weakening the field of competitors.

Xia Yang admitted outright that he had earned his top-ten finish and T3 certification in a summer race.

The same was true of Shan Sheng.

"Well, damn.
